snoop1130
A new hotel boasts Thailand’s highest glass skywalk, offering a 360-degree view at the stunning Samet Nangshe on Phang Nga Bay, in southern Thailand. The Beyond Skywalk Nangshe Hotel, in the Takua Thung district, hopes the new feature will prove a tourist magnet, given its proximity to Samet Nangshi viewpoint. The viewpoint boasts impressive views of Phang Nga Bay. The new skywalk is around 180 metres in length and 80 metres above sea level. It’s made of safety glass 30 millimetres thick, which can support weight of up to 500 kilograms per square metre. Popular Post KhunLA
Not really seeing the point of it myself, a bit redundant, as more than a couple great viewpoints of the bay. A snap, from 2 years ago, not from that hotel: 5
Popular Post eisfeld
I was there a few weeks ago, they were already open but called it a "soft opening". I don't think one can call it a 360 view as it is not on the top of the mountain and it has a big hotel complex attached on one side. 500 baht to walk on there is a bit hefty. There is the Samet Nang She viewpoint next to it where you take a pickup truck up the mountain and pay 90 baht. Just as good if not better view as it's higher up and you see more from the area to the left. Feels also more local and the people running it are very friendly. That huge concrete blob on the other hand is not interesting to me. 4

Ao Tho Li Viewpoint, nearby has raised their price, to 50 baht per person, maybe, up from 50 baht per car. Which you can drive any vehicle up there. It is steep though, and the MG ZS ICE made it with no problem. They have a different definition of 360°, and 500 baht, that's a bit hefty. JackGats
I like viewpoints but I don't like skywalks. Note that skywalks sometimes ruin good views.

Hanuman2547
I stayed at the hotel next to it back in December. It is a very nice view. Not sure I would want to pay 500 baht at the place with the Skywalk.

Does the stated weight include the 75kg per square metre of the glass itself? I would trust the glass but what about the framework?
