ikke1959 Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 not only for entertainment venues in Pattaya but it should be in fact all over the country and especially also for the temples. The temples with their activities are really producing too much noise, while in fact they should be a shelter for meditation and rest..But with a non enforcement policy and a refusing to change mentality people will gat ear damage and the sounds are only increasing 2
Popular Post jcmj Posted February 23, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 23, 2024 In one ear and out the other. Warnings don’t really help as we have seen over and over again. As long as the envelope is full they don’t have to worry about anything further happening. 3
Popular Post Skipalongcassidy Posted February 23, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 23, 2024 What???!!! and destroy what seems to be the right of Thais to be loud and obnoxious... who doesn't love to fall asleep to the beat of the same music played at top volume over and over again... it puts everyone in a trance. Not to mention the reduced sales of 10,000 watt amps and speakers that can be set up anywhere anytime 1 1 1 1
jacko45k Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 What silliness...... soi six is bedlam and finding a place you can chat over a beer is nigh impossible even in the quieter soi 7-8 area.

One of our neighbours used to constantly play loud noise at all times (I refrain from calling it music). It came to a head when they started up at 4am. I complained, neighbor threatened me with a machete., I informed the police and made a formal complaint. Neighbor received a visit from the local police chief (the husband is a lorry driver, nuff said). Noise has stopped. They were the only people in our large village who did this. It is a significant minority who do this kind of thing, basically they are bullies asserting dominance. Most Thai's like peace and quiet too. Everything in its place I've been to quite a few rock concerts and enjoyed the loud 'music' but never took it home to annoy the neighbours. Nothing wrong with the occasional party making noise. 2
