12:58 CNN and SKY Breaking news are reporting a tsunami warning following a 6.6 earthquake near indonesia. Does anyone know if this will affect Thailand?

According to BBC World, 13.00 hrs local Thai time, a Tsunami warning has been issued for the Maluku islands after a reportedly 7.4 Richter scale earthquake.

After a quick peek on a map, Thailand does not seem to be in direct danger.

Same news bulletin by BBC World says that the Tsunami warning is withdrawn.

Quite the coincidence that this earthquake happened a less than a day after the much publicized Tsunami Warning Test.

I'm sure glad that there was no tsunami to go along with the earthquake. Even though it was on the east side of Indonesia.
