Illegal Activities, Including Drugs and Minors, Uncovered in Nakhon Phanom Pub Raid

Police in Nakhon Phanom arrested the operators of a popular pub, AEC Nakhon Phanom, following multiple legal violations including allowing minors inside, hosting indecent performances, and operating beyond permitted hours. Drug use among the customers was also discovered.

The pub came under scrutiny after Nakhon Phanom Governor Wanchai Janporn and local officers received complaints from residents about disturbances caused by the establishment. Undercover officers studied the pub, revealing not only violations in terms of operation hours but also inappropriate performances by partially undressed dancers.

During a raid that involved over 30 administrative officers, the same indecent performances were observed. They also came across many patrons, including at least one underage individual, visibly intoxicated and dancing energetically.

Police uncovered methamphetamine drugs scattered on the pub's floor and in the restrooms. On-site urine tests revealed some patrons tested positive for drug usage.

Authorities confiscated alcohol sold to underage customers and a small amount of MDMA, also known as ecstasy, packaged in clear plastic bags.

The pub’s owners and patrons were detained at the Mueang Nakhon Phanom Police Station and faced multiple charges, including selling alcohol beyond legal hours, allowing minors and individuals without national ID cards on the premises, and tolerating drug offenses. An additional charge was added for hosting obscene performances. This was not the first time AEC Nakhon Phanom had broken laws regularly featuring nudity and lewd behaviour in its shows.

In response to these offenses, local authorities plan to propose to the Ministry of the Interior to immediately close the pub.

Run of the mill stuff for Thailand these days, girls getting their bits out, selling alcohol at all hours to all ages.

Drugs scene is out of control.

Big business.
