The significance: This isn't mere political posturing; it's a genuine belief held by Democrats close to Biden, shaping his campaign strategy despite mounting pressure for a course correction due to his lagging numbers compared to four years ago. According to them, public polling fails to accurately capture the depth of support for the president.

What's happening: Biden is adamant, both publicly and privately, that he's making significant strides in popularity and is likely ahead of Donald Trump in their potential 2020 rematch. During a recent fundraising swing on the West Coast, Biden asserted, "The momentum is clearly in our favor, with the polls moving towards us and away from Trump," urging donors to see beyond media coverage. Earlier, when confronted with unfavorable poll data in a rare CNN interview, Biden criticized polling methodology at large, questioning the reliability of surveys.

The latest polling in crucial battleground states like Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin paints a bleak picture for Biden, with surveys indicating Trump's lead among registered voters.
However, some national polls show Biden either ahead or tied with Trump, offering a glimmer of hope amid the gloom.

Do I want Trump to win- only if Biden/ Harris are his opponents. So long as they are, I'm all in for a Trump victory in November.

I don't know how the Dems machine can accept a man that can apparently barely walk without falling over, can't speak without a telepromter, and looks as presidential as a soggy small dog.

 

America's enemies must be rooting for him to win for all they are worth, while having a laugh in at his latest misadventure. He's certainly alienating once upon a time allies in the Middle East, and his relationship with China is heading only downward.

The problem is, the Biden admin keeps telling people everything is okay and their perception is wrong. That doesn't sell well when you need $100k to have the same lifestyle that took $65k not that long ago. Add to the fact that many minorities have had it up to their ears with being pandered to while they fill their schools, rec centers and motels with immigrants. 
 

The DNC is even afraid of their core constituents and are planning to have a virtual convention because they are afraid of what should have been their conventional base. 
 

is Biden in denial? No, he isn't self aware enough. He scoffs and laughs from behind his ice cream cone at even the slightest criticism. He seems to think he is some sort of old, tough guy cool, like Eastwood in the film Gran Turismo. 
 

the reality is he is so out of touch he needs every interaction scripted and the Easter Bunny needs to intervene at times to stop him from making a complete fool of himself in public. 

 

If he loses it will be in large part because of the minority vote that is feeling betrayed.

IMO Trump's pick for VP is the most important thing for his success in November. If he makes a mistake it will likely cost him the W H.

Let's remember a certain GOP candidate that picked the wrong VP candidate and what happened to him. I liked her personally, but as a future VP, was just not going to happen.

 

It's a pity that Pence is most likely not in contention. I thought he was an excellent VP.

I really, really hope his handlers can't talk him out of debating Trump. Without his teleprompter he'll be doomed, doomed I say.

Perhaps sometime in the near future he will come out and say he needs a hearing aid ( so they can tell him what to say during the debate ).

 I would bet my life there will be no debate. They are currently configuring the DNC convention so he will only give prerecorded, presumably heavily edited blurbs. He can't even show up at his own parties convention.

No, I think it's great. Although it must be odd to have to hide from those you want to vote for you. Biden and co. gave birth to and nurtured this type of radical lunacy. I am not sure I understand why the President of the United States and all of his cohorts would feel the need to hide from where did the shelter in place order come from and why is it needed? It's just peaceful protestors.

When I retired 4 yrs ago making low 100's K yearly I thought I was doing good. Guess I was wrong. So hard to imagine the damage biden has done to America.

4 years ago it was good. You can still live in that in a low cost area if you are careful. I am counting taxes in the equation. If you have $60k after taxes you are doing okay. Remember that those making 100k with retirement obligations are only probably coming out of it with $5,000 a month.

Biden's big problem is that he has an opponent with a record as president. People can compare their life under Trump with their life under Biden. When they do, the answer is clear. Trump had 2% inflation, 2 dollar gas, 3% mortgages,and no wars.Biden can't compete with basic numbers like that. Housing up 40% in 4 years, mortgage payments up even more, car payments of $700 or more are not uncommon.... these are things people will vote on.
