"If President-elect Donald Trump cuts the supply of military aid, the Ukrainians will lose - it's that simple."

It's not that simple actually. Donald can cut the supply of military aid from the US but pay unofficial compensation for EU countries that provide military aid (gas price discount?). So Americans will feel much more safe. Don't forget that Donald is the US president, not the EU president.

Strategically a weak Russia is in the interest of the USA. Trump doesn't care about Europe so won't mind making their lives more difficult. Combined that means imo keep supporting Ukraine but less.

North Korean troops in Ukraine ‘grave escalation’, Scholz tells Putin

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday that Russia’s deployment of North Korean troops against Ukraine was a “grave escalation” of the conflict, according to government sources.

According to government sources, the chancellor condemned Russia’s attack on Ukraine and called on Moscow to negotiate with Kyiv to come to a “fair and lasting peace”.

He also stressed “Germany’s unwavering determination to support Ukraine in its defensive struggle against Russian aggression for as long as necessary”.

Scholz condemned in particular the Russian air strikes on civilian infrastructure.

The video title says it all. A Russian journalist makes fun of a rather damaged tank - supposedly equipped with explosive reactive armour, which turns out to actually be common bricks.  He thinks it was a "tank of f***ers",  before realising it's one of theirs.  At which point he repeats the first syllable of the blanked out expletive.

The turret, planted in the ground by its gun, is weird.  Must have been a massive mine that it hit.
