    Ukrainian drones have successfully hit a factory making Kh-101 and Kh-55 cruise missiles in Smolensk.  In response, the Pantsir SAMs system guarding the facility did what they do best, and took out a nearby apartment building.  Must have thought it was a civilian airliner.  Seems to me that all Ukraine needs to do is send a bunch of balloons across the border and the Russian air defense systems will self destroy all the infrastructure around them.

    Donald Trump has warned he will impose high tariffs and further sanctions on Russia if Vladimir Putin fails to end the war in Ukraine.

    Writing on his social media platform Truth Social, he said that by pushing to settle the war he was doing Russia and its president a "very big favour".

    "Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT'S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE. If we don't make a 'deal', and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries."

    So much for the narrative by Trump haters that he is Putin's puppet. Eat crow.

     

    BTW, it takes 2 to end a war, so unless he puts pressure on Ukraine, his threats ain't going to work.

     

    I suspect that this is one claim that Trump isn't going to win on. He can stop it by ending military supplies to Ukraine, but will he?

    Since Russia hardly exports anything to the US, I doubt Putin is worried much about tariffs. As for sanctions, is there anything that hasn’t been sanctioned yet?
