Lazada Item Stolen

Featured Replies

Two days ago I had a watch delivered from Lazada (cod). Before the delivery guy hands over the item he needs to be paid. Not a problem. On the exchange I noticed my delivery was kinda light.  On checking the package I noticed the end had been torn open and repaired. There was no watch. I spoke with the delivery guy but he wouldn't refund me and he got no support from his delivery office. I immediately got onto Lazada and asked for a refund. To do that one has to return the item undamaged. For me I haven't got an item to return. What happens next????

Watches are best bought from watch shops!

You were literally on the phone with the people who could answer your question....

Obviously, the thing to do is enter into the dispute mechanism of Lazada.

Every single time I have disputed in order I have always won. And that includes times when no item arrived in the package.

There is an enormous advantage in paying in advance. For those who are not tech savvy it does feel like paying on delivery is the best way to go. But it simply isn't the case.

Had you paid in advance, your case would be much stronger with Lazada. Part of the reason for this is because Lazada are able to give a trust rating to you; people who are highly trusted will automatically receive a refund. I know this because they sent me an email telling me they did this with my refund request. A seller disputed my refund request I sent the package back to them, and as soon as the package was scanned at the post office the refund was made. The seller was forced to comply.

If you have paid in advance they can rule out lots of scams which are completely endemic to ordering online. This massively favours you.

Can you look at the package before you pay?

I always paid when I ordered and never had any problems.

Lazada has a procedure when receiving and opening a parcel (video, photos, description etc...) and if there is a problem then reporting it on their website for assessment and refund/replacement.

The info is available on their website.

You’re screwed. You will never get a refund. 100%. The reason is lazada is a scam. The sellers are good. Lazada does not refund if they can help it.

Good news. My wife has been in touch with Lazada and they are going to refund me via my wallet.  Thanks to all who replied.

For me it's quite the opposite. I never had a single problem with refunds on Lazada. I always pay when I order. Never CoD.
