When I compared the recent power outage here to Notes from Underground, I really do not think I was spouting nonsense.

 

I was referring to possible and potential dystopia.....which is one of the themes....

 

 

When I stated that, anytime the power grid goes down, then one might read Notes from Underground, by one's phone, KINDLE, or tablet, or by candlelight, I was NOT JOKING....

I meant what I said.

 

Apparently, there are those who do not share my view of our impending doom, given the fact that we humans are unwilling to plan for the future, but, instead, prefer BUSINESS AS USUAL, even if it means the doom of our society, and our children's children.

 

In addition, we can also consider the increasing alienation of the individual, just as social media becomes stronger and more pervasive.

 

We cease to consider our fellows as REAL, but only as PROFILES on our screens.

 

All of this, and even more, became suddenly much clearer to me, this eve, when the lights went out for a few hours here, during a slight thunderstorm.

 

And then, I began to hum the tune.....

 

 

 

We are DEFINITELY heading to 3.25 degrees C above pre-industrial mean global temps.....

 

I just hope you are prepared.

And.....EUROPE...is now behind the 8-Ball, too, judging from recent reports.....

 

 

Being without power...is....

A real thought-provoker.

 

I hope it never happens to you.
