But but but, it's all the GOP's fault that Biden is incompetent :cheesy:  Pity that Biden cancelled Trump's "remain in Mexico" agreement then.

If the border guards were not helping them get through the razor wire there would be less to catch. Perhaps a wall might help with that too.

For a New Zealander, you seem to have a great interest, but little insight into the US border situation.

Here's the key point: the border is a tiny issue that simply doesn't impact most Americans. The Republicans run on it, because they don't have anything else, and have a deeply flawed presidential candidate.

Illegal aliens shouldn’t be in the country in the first place.

US Citizens have the right to be in America.  Whether they are good or bad citizens.

See the difference?  I have a strong feeling, you don’t!

Progressives should take a look at Denmark

What it does, according to AP

Quote

The White House is telling lawmakers that President Joe Biden is preparing to sign off on an executive order that would shut down asylum requests at the U.S.-Mexico border once the average number of daily encounters hits 2,500 between ports of entry, with the border reopening only once that number declines to 1,500, according to several people familiar with the discussions.  https://apnews.com/article/biden-immigration-executive-order-asylum-border-7cd0b0f28e298036ad1fc6b0c78961e1

The newly elected president of Mexico is Claudia Sheinbaum. She has a PhD in energy engineering from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California. She has written two books and more than 100 articles on the topic of energy and sustainable development. She was also on a team that won a Nobel Prize. She has pledged to defend the interests of Mexicans across the border.

Two things occur to me. First, whomever the US elects will be an intellectual dwarf compared to this woman. I expect her to outsmart them at every move. Second, I wish American presidents cared as much about their overseas citizens as she apparently does for her fellow Mexicans.

Maybe she should focus all of her intelligence on making Mexico GREAT FOR MEXICANS.

They would lose the incentive to become illegal aliens in America.

Isn’t that an amazing concept!
