I confine my Pizza these days primarily to Pizza Pala Romano in Asoke, at least they are a correct Italian variation of the classic American dish. The pizzas offered in Asia with their bizarre variations, including pineapple, are an abomination to the pizza gods.  Plus it is impossible to creat a correct Pizza without NYC water, generally acknowledged to be the finest water in the world.

 

Burger King is good in Airports and in Sukhumvit. Shout out to the Burger King in Siem Reap where the Burgers look exactly like the picture and taste exactly the same as they do anywhere up I85 to NY, albiet the ones in the USA look like Sarah Lezito spun them around on her Kawaski.

 

All the wierd Asian variations of normal, decent American food started in Japan as a subtle payback for our interference in their attempt at world domination. Oh, drop the bomb on us gaijin, OK we will mess with your National dishes! Already artistic masters of the strange and bizarre, the Japanese have sneakily ( like Pearl Harbour) now become the leaders of World Culture through manga, tentacle porn and their insane foods, which provide fertile fodder these days for clueless influencers. Oh look, here is my $400 dish of Salmon Milt Soup served with a Single Grouper Penis standing in the bowl. Nice Kimono sweetie! How about Squid Ink Omurice? No Ham and Cheese Omelet with Home Fries for this gourmet! Crab Crust pizza? Thats baby stuff. Shove live shrimp in there after baking so they writhe and wriggle. Kawaaaaaiiiiiiiiiii! Natto Toast! Hot Dogs shoved into Glazed Donuts!

 

I could go on but Im getting nauseous

On the Pizza adaptation - there are somethings that work extremely well, surprisingly well....  Larb Pizza is an absolutely winner - Don't knock it until you've tried it (with good larb and a proper pizza base)...

 

 

 

Oh...  BTW... NYC's water is treated with chlorine, fluoride, orthophosphate, sodium hydroxide, and ultraviolet light which makes it very safe to drink, just like the water in the UK, Japan, France, Australia, Germany, Switzerland etc etc...  the difference being, 'Merican's over hype everything to ridiculous degrees and you even call your water the 'Champagne of Water' which is as hilarious as a world series with two nations !...    So... no, the 'water' doesn't make better Pizza... that 'clean treated water' is available everywhere !!!....

 

.... and if you really wanted to make a great doh, would you not use bottled water, that hasn't been treated with chlorine, fluoride, orthophosphate and sodium hydroxide so that its safe for human consumption ?

 

 


Don't think larb and pizza would be a match. If anything, maybe grupow chicken pizza. 
 

For over 30 years already, California Pizza Kitchen in the United States has had a Thai chicken pizza on their menu, which remains popular in the USA. 
 

It's a chicken pizza made mainly with a mixture of peanut butter and hoisin sauce. The recipe:

That reference to the water making New York pizza taste better is an urban myth. In fact, the myth is in reference to New York bagels and not the pizza. It's all false though. 
 

I think what really gives NYC pizza its notorious flavor is the saltiness of the low-moisture mozzarella cheese they use in NY, clashing with the sweetness of the pizza sauce they use, which is also mixed with generous amounts of basil, oregano, and garlic.

Larb pizza? Who is this creature posting such hatred and sacrilege clearly, not from the home of pizza, New York City. Must be from one of those European nations that still owe us money from WW1. Probably can't even drink the tap water where you are from

Maybe once a year, I'll go for a pork burger at Burger King. Not too bad.

 

Laab seems like a natural as a pizza topping. How is it worse than whatever's in pepperoni?

Yip the tomato sauce on pizza does me in . I make pizza for wife's young relatives that stop in now and again , they get it and put sauce all over the top. I point out you do know there is a load of tomato sauce under the cheese already, but they just laugh and walk off 🙈

The corn is a nope from me also as is seafood on pizza . Also not into any of the cold drinks they sell at stands like the coffee or ones that look like frog spawn in them .

not if the water is sold in plastic bottles...read that plastic particles permeate that water.  almost as bad as ocean water nowadays...pretty soon we will be advised not to eat any seafood as the plastic exists throughout their system/skin/meat etc.

Those of cultured and refined tastes only use San Pellegrino or Voss water to make their Pizza Dough !!!    :neus:   :giggle:

I am constantly surprised at how so many believe in and enjoy the the ultra concentrated chemical blast of American JUNK trash that they fill their stomachs with, it’s no wonder there are so many cancer sufferers and stage 2 diabetic's.

Sadly the nay sayers and supporters of this poison will rally together regarding this comment but suffice it to say I am 77 years old, fit and healthy, of average weight, not on ANY medication and have never eaten fast food in my long life.

 

Oh! and by the way, the pizza did not originate in NYC it originated in Italy and the starter layer was spread with tomato puree, it never had tomato ketchup on it until the Americans got hold of it.

Thais don't know how to boil potatoes, a "salad" is just a piece of lettuce, can't do nice french fries, toast in most places, including hotels that should know better, is just warm bread!

 

An "American" breakfast - we can only guess what part of America they learned from!

 

Don't roast or bake anything

 

Bread, cakes and desserts very little idea at all!

 

My Thai wife likes my Western-style cooking. And she now cooks my more appealing rice than the mediocre stuff served up in most places

I'm glad you mentioned salad. I don't mind if it's just leafy greens. I like that too. But what gets me is this stuff they like to put on top of it posing as mayonnaise. Not only is it not like real mayonnaise, but who wants to eat salad greens with mayonnaise on top of it anyway? Oil and vinegar, fine. Even that Japanese sesame salad dressing is nice. But no mayo!

In the photo those are small pieces of deep-fried chicken. I've seen it done with a deep-fried chicken drumstick too. Doesn't change much though.
