November 26, 2025Nov 26 I went through the process last year—zoning was the biggest hurdle, then sorting out the fire safety checks took months. Local officials helped once I had everything translated into Thai.

To get the hotel license, I had to show proper zoning, parking spaces, and go through local authorities. The process took a few months but wasn’t too painful once I hired a Thai consultant who knew the steps. If you plan on large group stays or events, the license definitely helps avoid trouble.
