snoop1130
The Prime Minister of Thailand, Srettha Thavisin, has announced that the Cabinet has agreed to change the Ministry of Public Health's laws to lower the legal limit of methamphetamine in anyone's possession to a single pill. In a Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister explained that the Ministry of Public Health had proposed new draft regulations which had been approved by the Cabinet. The primary change is that they are modifying the allowed quantity of narcotics and controlled psychotropic drugs that are assumed to be for personal use. The possession limit of methamphetamine has been changed from five pills down to just one. Other types of methamphetamine, such as powder or crystal, have also seen a reduction in the allowed amount, with the limit now being a single unit for usage or a net weight of 100 milligrams. This new limit also applies to the drug known as crystal meth or ice - now only one dose can be legally held. The Council of State's office has taken on the task of checking this new draft regulation's precision. This change, which limits pill or unit usage to a single one, is understood to be a method to reduce the number of smaller drug dealers. This could potentially break the cycle of drug distribution and also cut down the number of drugs held for illegal selling. BangkokReady
You used to be able to have meth legally? (And probably enough to mess you up if you took them all at once.)

Ben Zioner
How could even a single dose be "legal" ? Sounds like absolute nonsense.

Thai version of meth mainly coming in from Laos and Myanmar. I agree about the pic though. Took me less than 10 seconds to get this pic and it's what the article is about. 300sd
Makes no difference to a drug addict or one who enjoys the life that dealing can provide. They will do it until they get caught or pay the police to remain in business.

Foxx
As if Thai prisons weren't already massively overcrowded. And 80% of Thailand's prisoners are incarcerated for drug-related offences. https://www.tijbangkokrules.org/uploads/publications/th-belqtuvxz459.pdf

Andycoops
So now you can have legally 1 a day in your possession, how wonderful for the drug addicts, the limit should be zero. As usual the Thai government are completely oblivious to the carnage raging through the whole country.
