The Upcoming Presidential Debate

I'm going to give it a pass.  Essentially it's a circus: entertainment with little substance.  If this was a serious debate then the third-party candidates would have a voice.  But they don't.  So two over-the-hill geriatrics (one a basketcase, the other an ass) get to have a go at each other in a highly staged and controlled setting.

No thanks.  I'd rather watch this:

Here are the unpleasant spewings we can expect from the sweaty <removed> based on past debates from 2016 and 2020:

- Aggressive and confrontational

- Unintellectual speech patterns

- Childish use of inappropriate insults

- Focus only on soundbites and avoid providing and substantive data

- Evade giving any direct answers

- Try to appeal to people’s emotions and populism rather than facts and figures

- Ridiculous questioning of opponents legitimacy

Did I leave anything out?

Other than that. All very civilised and honest.😉

Did he use giant teleprompters as well? No

Did he forget lots of things? No

Next

.....

Why does the size of the teleprompter concern you so much? images.jpeg.854455d0e6d65878152daba7836e3471.jpeg

Otherwise, yes, he forgot his own surgeons name.

What puzzles me is the Biden haters.

Anyone who actually took the time to listen to his State of the Union address would know he was articulate, with clear facts and messages. Except perhaps the dyed in the wool MAGA supporters.

It hurts my ears to listen to Trump. The slurs, non-sequiturs and downright nonsense that spews forth during his speeches and posts on Truth Social - perhaps the ultimate oxymoron - is an offence against rationality.

IMO Biden wiped the floor with Trump in 2020. It wouldn't surprise me if Trump squibbed it, just like he did taking the witness stand in NY.

Agree 💯 %

to be fair, every single presidential debate in history gets like that.

but that's one of many reasons I never watch them anymore.

maybe trump is worse and more over the top than others though.

Maybe🤣

Except for having ACTUAL record unemployment, record high stock market results, return of jobs from overseas, passed a border control bill which the Trumpeteers promptly quashed, etc. ad nauseum.

Just a wonder how so many can apparently survive while living under a self imposed rock.

None of which is true though.
