UK Passport Payment Form
IMHO the responsibility for the whole bloody shambles that is the UK passport renewal process from Thailand lies fairly and squarely with those clowns known as His Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO) back in the UK. VFS are merely their local agents and are probably slavishly following strict orders in relation to the perfectly reasonable and valid points which you have raised. There is already in existence an online facility for handling the whole passport renewal process, which HMPO are encouraging the use of from practically everywhere on this great planet of ours (including Malaysia and the Philippines in this part of the world), with the exception of Thailand for some ridiculous reason! The one thing which agents seem unable (or unwilling) to provide any assistance with, though, is in obtaining fresh paper mugshots which comply fully with HMPO's ultra-fussy requirements, particularly as regards acceptable background colours. Easier said than done to accomplish yourself if you live in the boonies! -

New Guidelines Introduced for Safer School Trips
My thoughts exactly. One of the most important things is realising that for whatever reason, this CNG stuff keeps incinerating people in their vehicles upon impact, so should be banned. The fact that it can be safe, if things are done in a completely different manner, is irrelevant. -

This is more important for the bus staff, surely. Evacuate the bus, not run away. -

FB Marketplace
When I’m selling something in Thailand on Facebook Marketplace, I always set an extremely low price because I don’t want to deal with it. For example, after a house renovation, I had a palette of ceramic tiles left. I left them outside for eight months in the rain and mud. I originally bought them for 11,000 Baht. I took two photos, set the price at 1,000 Baht, and posted it on Marketplace at 7 PM. By 10 PM, I had 50+ people asking if it was still available. By 6 AM the next morning I had a guy in front of my house loading it with his wife into his truck. By 6:30 AM it was gone. Problem solved. Same way I sold old windows, old doors, old window guards ... . I just don't want to deal with all that drama. -

Which airline is this? 2-2-2 in economy on an A380 seems crazy. Qatar have economy in the upstairs rear and Emirates upstairs at the front on some variants but both are 2-4-2 -

Dutch Tourist Hurls Objects at Udon Thani Café Staff Over Change Dispute
Not true. Alcohol lowers inhibitions, impacts rational thought and increases aggression. Even if you were to say that alcohol only takes away inhibitions, those inhibitions are still part of someone's character. The "a drunk tongue speaks a sober mind" is basically nonsense. I'm not sure why some people have this obsessions with saying that someone under the influence of a drug that literally alters how a person thinks and acts is suddenly the real them. I guess they just want to be able to point the finger at others. It's rather like saying that when people get drunk, they fall down, so this is showing that people really want to fall down all the time, that falling down is the real them, but they manage to keep the falling down in check when they are sober. Then, when they get drunk, the real them comes out and they start falling down. https://www.drinkaware.co.uk/news/how-alcohol-impacts-our-behaviour -

Sending food back to the kitchen?
I paid for dental work for the girlfriend. She had 2 cavities on teeth next to each other. I saw the work after it was done. The stupid fu&#&K dentist sealed her two teeth together making it impossible to floss between those teeth. There is a pocket below the veneer. How can she floss there. She can't. Eventually she will have another cavity. He also charged me for two teeth. Do you think I will be the PU#&Y and say Mai Pen Rai and not do something about it? We are going back to let the dental owner do a proper job. The dentist was a lazy F&#&#er, and anyone knows you don't do this? It may be quicker. The doctor thinks that because she is Thai, she won't know. He's right, but I know. -

There is, at the top of the stairs outside the bathrooms, but it's unmanned and no seating area so the rear bar is used by anyone wanting to socialise or have their drinks poured for them. Pic from the internet.
