It's grim out there.

Recommended Posts

A bit pointless if you don't say where you are!  As others have said, Pattaya is rocking and Bangkok definitely is too.  Try travelling further afield, I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

Crikey, Mr Doom&Gloom at it again.

You have many weak followers here, glass half empty types, who read your posts and convince themselves that the country is DOOMED.

It's far from it, I'm happy as Larry, always have been, wouldn't live anywhere else.

Some folks will live in any crappy place,  but having said that there are some nice spots like national parks up country,  and it's especially pleasant when there's no thais about.

You didn't mention any time and location, it was a murky message.

What time where you out and at what location?

Agree, national parks are nice to visit, I do it often.

I enjoy the Thai company, most friendliest, happiest and welcoming people I've ever met and I've been to over 40 countries.

Jomtiem is nice at the moment. It is low season though. Nice summery atmosphere. People out and about. Beaches nice to walk on but sadly cannot swim. Happy place to be. This foreigner has been treated really well thanks.

Phuket is ok. Many different parts to it. Do you mean middle of Patong or on a lovely beach in the east or somewhere in Phuket town.

Have a nice day.

Try Hua Hin. No Bobs there.

I know mate.

Some have still yet to decipher the Thai smile..

Thais have a smile for literally every possible human emotion. Friendliness/happiness isn't usually why they are smiling..

as for the day, i'm seriously contemplating an 11.30am  ice cold beer ...   delicious '  but problem is I'll be half cut by 3.00pm

Ha, ha, thanks for the offer but I'm sure I with your brother daily.

At the gym he comes up to me, I say good morning, then for the next hour he's yapping away with his miserable Thai stories. 😂

It's painful.
