Using an overseas Debit Card to minimise paying tax for those of us staying over 180 days
He's not forbidden, it just may be treated as assessable income (depending on his foreign source income). I could spend the rest of my life repatriating capital (from pre 2024), while generating foreign income into a separate account. I don't think that would wash. I know some people are going to try this, and maybe it will work, but it seems far too easy to circumvent tax this way. -

Trump Just Pulled Out Of The Debate
We'll see but I think it's likely going to amount to - if she can get both houses - bit more tax on the very wealthy - letting Trump tax cuts expire - and some more services like health care for the poor. She has mentioned price controls - bet you it's mainly talk except in cases of extreme price gouging e.g. some medicines where the pharmaceutical companies seem to have huge power in The United States compared to other countries. Sometimes the free market ain't perfect. I am not aware of the other policies. Think it would be big news if she was eliminating private health insurance. Trump's health care policy is still being formulated since 2016 - sure it's going to be well worth the wait. -

Indian Businessman Accused of Raping Underage Thai Girl and Forcing Her to Abort Baby
An Indian businessman in Chon Buri, Thailand, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old Thai girl in December last year, and later forcing her to have an abortion. This case has led to the girl's mother launching a legal complaint, which was lodged at Nongprue Police Station on August 27. The delay in reporting the alleged crime was due to the mother's fear that the authorities would not take her seriously - given their financial disadvantage compared to the wealthy businessman. Channel 3 aired the young girl's account of the alleged assault, which she said occurred at the man's pool villa during her aunt's birthday party. Her aunt was employed by the man as a cleaner at the property. She claims the man approached her after she left a bathroom at the villa. She tried to flee, but couldn't escape him. When she confided in her mother and aunt, they doubted her story, until she became pregnant. Regretfully, her mother admitted she hadn't initially believed her daughter's claim. She confronted the businessman about the pregnancy, and while he seemed surprised, he promised to take care of it, suggesting an abortion. The girl's mother declined, but the man allegedly duped the girl into going to a Bangkok clinic, where he paid 8,000 baht for the procedure to be carried out, contrary to the mother's wishes. The mother was shocked when the doctor agreed to perform the abortion, arguing the potential baby would only become society's outcast. The doctor advised the girl to be more careful in future to avoid such situations, implying that bringing another child into the world could be troublesome. The girl's aunt confessed she initially reprimanded her niece for falsely accusing the Indian man, whom she thought was a trustworthy real estate businessman. However, she changed her mind when he used coarse language, which made her believe her niece's version of events. But by the time she did, it was already too late. The family now hopes the police will swiftly investigate and bring the businessman to justice. Thai woman fired after leave to care for ill child
This is just a bunch of Crap and Bull. The employer is wrong in all ways. The employee has a legit reason to be away from work and have reported that. She can also not say when she can be back as that is done by the doctors. In the case that she is legally employed, she can seek help at Labor Department. The boss will get his arse fried. In case she is not legally employed, the boss is not paying his fees for employees to the government. If push there, he will be fried again. -

Thailand's Central Bank May Lower Interest Rates if Digital Wallet Delayed
Smart trick by the Pheu Thai. Say that the cash handout will boost the economy. Ask the BOT to drop interest rates. BOT say no. Delay the cash handout. BOT says that a delay may force us to drop interest rates. Double whammy for Pheu Thai - they can do the cash handouts after the interest rate is dropped.
