No.

Has been attributed to Will Rogers and Mark Twain.

Cannot find anything that attributes it to Reagan.

Definitely had been said prior to Reagan's entry into politics.

I'm not American, and I don't like Trump much. You tar everyone who you don't like as MAGA when you are just brainwashed sheep - it's sad really.

Anyway, back to the OP about the possibility of K Harris being elected as president who represents the ANTIFA arm of the left …

Whoops, there it is! Antifa, Trump's favorite bogeyman.

Don't sweat it. Sheep can't vote.

...but it doesn't stop them from trying (again).

But were that true. I think you underestimate the leftist machine in the US, unless you mean they are going to switch her out, which the still could.

Just look at how they covered for Biden's condition for years, and they all turned on a dime after the debate and attacked him mercilessly once they saw he would lose against Trump. And then, after he's dragged out kicking and screaming, they flipped again, and now he's the greatest American of all time. They are comparing him to George Washington, but without the slaves of course.

And Kamala as the "Border Czar", everyone knows, but they scrub the sites and into the memory hole.

The left will say and do anything to maintain power.

And the right will say and do anything to steal it.

So why do you repeatedly utilise MAGA memes?

Immaterial.....but their attitude to strikes is disgusting.....they 'never' strike and as a consequence classroom teachers' salaries are derisory.

The point is, left or right, teachers, in my experience, simply don't attempt to indoctrinate kids

To be clear, I never said teachers were indoctrinating kids, thought certainly some, left and right, do.

What I said was: "And the left runs virtually every aspect of education in the United States. What does that tell you?"

Which was my response to a leftist that was going on about how ignorant half the voters in the United States are.

Reagan's was a variation. What you posted: "Its not what my opponent doesn't know that scares me, its the things he knows that just ain't so."

Yes, anyone that does not want millions of illegals flooding across the border, high inflation, high energy prices, reliance on advisories for oil, the first and second amendments reversed, a packed court, men in women’s sports, bathrooms and locker room, genital mutilation of children, crappy public education, higher taxes, and books that provide pictorial instructions on how to participate in homosexual sex in grade-schools is clearly MAGA

You're nothing if not easily amused, but exactly.

The left tuned a mostly peaceful protest that turned into riot into an "armed insurrection" and the "end of democracy as we know it" and they lying ad using Jan 6 almost four years later.

yes yes, anybody who makes a point that you don't like and it's 'maga', or 'far right nonsense', but you NEVER argue your case. it's just attempted smears and name calling and links to biased media.'

Why is someone doubting the veracity of CNN 'classic MAGA'? Do you really think CNN and all the others are bastions of truth?

It's like you have a set number of templates in your head and then just project them onto others.

I concur with what you describe as biased media which I assume you mean the likes of the BBC, Guardia, WaPo etc. By that I mean their news and fact checker reporting; sometimes their opinion pieces. To be blunt I don't recall right wing media countering fact checked info or member counter contributions other than deflection and insults or echo chamber trump lies and misinformation. Perhaps you may like to advise credible media news outlets news and fact check contribution you utilise.

Most recent arguing of case was when I explained how Scandinavia was not "Socialism" but rather a high skill value added economy whose wealth came from exporting at a high margin. If you are making a general point, yes it applies on both sides. For the record, the first time I saw Fox News I thought it must be a brilliant spoof.

They are all [right and left] biased, so I read both sides on an issue and make a best guess on where the truth lies. The Left points out the lies of the Right and the Right points out the lies of the Left. What it seems people don't get is that if one side points out the lies of the other side, it doesn't follow that they are themselves telling the truth.

Social media can often fill in details that allow a decision to be made. Example, the allegation that Twitter had turned into a hate speech venue when Musk took over, there was a purported "academic" paper detailing this which the Left media took up on. The actual head of content moderation at twitter posted that there had to date been NO change in content moderation policy and that virtually all of the "hate" was traceable to 5 entities that became active after musk took over. My interpretation of this was that it was a deliberate false flag operation designed to generate the desired headlines.

Reuters and BBC set up "fact checking", but it became clear that they were only "fact checking" the opposing sides info and studiously avoiding "fact checking" media or content that shared their bias. Also to me, some of their fact checking was not fact checking.

The sea change seems to be the acceptability of lying, barefaced lies at that, and few if any attempts to nail down these politicians when they do it.....left and right.

Did previous US presidents get involved in this tsunami of lies and falsehoods? Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan......???

I don't think it was like this, with the possible exception of GWB. for those who think i am a Republican/MAGA, you would not think so if social media had been around in the GWB years. An alternative explanation is that media was controlled then, it was really only social media that allowed people to publish to the world with alternative views/facts to the prevailing narrative.

The discursions come as a new ABC News/Ipsos poll on Sunday found that Harris’ favorability rating had jumped to 43% from 35% a week earlier. It found a major jump in her favorability rating among electorally crucial independent voters, with 44% saying they viewed her favorably compared to 28% the previous week.

Also significant is the 59-year-old Harris’s numbers within the swing group of “double haters” – voters who liked neither Biden nor Trump. Within that group, the number who liked neither candidate has dropped from 15% to 7%.

The comments in the USA have dwarfed the MAGA overwhelming.
