Vietnam's new extendable 10-year Visa - will the expat exodus begin?
I've seen one article mentioning retirees, but as others have said it's just a proposal just now and we'll see the reality at some point. The visa would target affluent foreigners, retirees, investors and skilled talent, offering them a longer stay and potential benefits, including multiple entries, business investment opportunities, and a simplified residency pathway, VnExpress reported. https://news.tuoitre.vn/vietnams-tourism-body-proposes-10-year-golden-visa-to-attract-global-talent-investors-103250516193404789.htm -

Fear of reviewing stuff because of legal consequences holds Thailand back
Up to you, but very early in my long standing stay in Thailand I made the decision to actively filter out negative stuff here as much as possible, and also to bend over backwards to try to avoid conflict with Thai people. That has worked for me and I ain't changing. I sincerely beieve that being the first reviewer on that horribly bad restaurant and being honest about it would have made my very vulnerable No thank you! -

Huge crowd piles pressure on Dutch government to seek an end to Israel's campaign in Gaza
@Bkk Brianis correct. The ICC was in a bit of a bind when it came to arrest warrants over the Gaza conflict. It would be absurd to issue warrants for Israel's leaders for their response to the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks while not issuing warrants for the perpetrators of the attacks. However, ICC warrants for the leaders of Hamas would require South Africa, Ireland, Spain and other Hamas-friendly countries to apprehend those leaders and that would place those countries in a very awkward position. They absolutely don't want to arrest the leaders of Hamas. Placing warrants on dead Hamas leaders gives the impression the ICC is putting equal pressure on both sides of the Gaza conflict while not requiring signatories of the Treaty of Rome to actually arrest active Hamas leaders. -

That's why I never use the other emojis. It's either the like emoji or none. Sooner or later, one of you knobs is likely to sue.- 1
