Aren't most Pattaya residents odd?

we are all odd sitting here posting delicate topics and answering them! What makes you think different about yourselves? What we do here is just pure odd behaviour. Pure stupidity

There are several posters on this forum who consistently exhibit a negative and nearly troll-like attitude towards Thailand and Thai's in general.   Their content often echoes each other, sh

Please feel free to move on to wherever you want to go.   How much of Thailand do you know? How long did it take you to decide "Thailand is losing its appeal. Not much fun anymore."

Not me. I started to like being left alone.

People with problems are hard to avoid in Thailand. It feels like they come at you from all sides. Needy people. It feels like they are sucking energy from me, like vampires. It was especially bad in Pattaya.

You were/are one of those people. You complained about everything. Wild dingoes, the people, needing to live in the centre... Birds of a feather and all that.

Yes negative people drain your energy. I can't stand 5 mins with one. Lucky there is a computer screen here.

Energy levels in CM, Hua Hin are better. The beach and mountains provide good natural energy.

You just wrote that you cannot stand negative people...yet everything you express is negative. Like JT, you cannot get away from yourselves.

I will live for decades.

To susanlea: Life in Thailand is what YOU are doing here and what you like here. It seems, you are waiting for what Thailand is doing with you.

I enjoy every day here up in the North in a remote area on the slope of a small mountain. I have a wonderful, lovely life partner and I love her family, too, and vice versa. The people in our village, including Thai Yais,  are friendly and open to a farang. And that doesn't depend on money.

A very important thing for my well feeling is the connection to the internet. Therefore I can contact members of my family and good friends. Result: not feeling (home) sick. We have some dogs and cats around us and a lot of mango trees in our garden.

The only ugly thing is the smoke season. We make the best of it and leave our home to stay in  the smoke free Hua Hin (at that time). Problem solved.

Read it as facts, not complaints. Make your own judgements. If I do give an opinion, it's always my opinion.

So they have better energy but Bangkok is the place to be or something

Your post was with regard to 'negative' people. I suggested that you were one on those people based on the fact that most of your posts were either complaints or just an illustration of your general negativity. Am I lying?

Apart from that, you even contradict yourself in your reply here....first you state that I should read it as 'facts' and then you state they are just your opinions. You seem confused.

I stand by my original statement.

I'm not sure what you are babbling about. Can I get back to you?

You know that have them in Chonburi too, don't you? I guess if you stay in the tourist ghettoes, you are limiting your view somewhat.

Okay, you have been to 60 provinces. Have you been to all 320,000 restaurants in Bangkok? There you go. Even in Chiang Mai there are Burmese, Yunnan, Korean, Japanese, German, Italian, British, Hong Kong, Vietnamese, restaurants. You cannot possibly have seen them all. If you are tired of Thailand you are tired of life.

Then there are tons of things to do and see, novelty cafes, archery ranges, Get a bow and arrows and make some friends.

Vietnam looks good, but the people are not as nice as Thais, we both know that.

As I stated earlier...you are confused. You spent the whole year in Pattaya complaining. Complaining how it wasn't like Bangkok. Complaining about having to live in the centre when you didn't. I don't think there was anything about which you didn't complain. You were one of those negative people about which you are complaining now. You were one of those people draining everyone's energy with your negativity.

I think you understand now. Enjoy your day.

The most important is each and one's feeling about where they are in life, and if not happy, do something about it, or not! It is up to each and one of us to fill our lives with things that matters.

AN is not one of them, it is just a time consuming thief.

I'm not happy with the seasonal heat or smoke, so I do something about it.

Actually, I don't agree wholeheartedly. AN gives us a picture into the ways other people think. It's an eye opener 😊

Hehe, maybe for some people, but after x years in Thailand, and met x people I do not find it that amusing anymore. Very little AN members contributing with I could not find elsewhere if I have questions about something.

It is more a time killer for now

And repetive thread starters is just time killers as well, bored to death in their own minds and limited spheres, creating tension and endlessly empty debates.

People without manners, and if met face to face I'm sure they wouldn't dare to be as rude they are here. Small men big words online

Bangkok has lots of restaurants and nightlife. River trips. Hua Hin and Kanch, Pattaya nearby. Phimai has a few buffaloes to look at and 1 temple.
