If you followed the story from the beginning, British Embassy statements + the video they made and requested reports and minutes of the meetings between Thai Immigration and British Embassy officials from the Home Office by freedom of information requests, then you'd know more. It started with CM becoming suspicious of some of the incomes claimed on US affidavits. When challenged, they couldn't produce evidence to support their affidavits, the rest is now history. Did you read the post above mine? That was typical chit chat between US nationals that thought it was a joke to make false claims in order to meet the financial requirements. It may be a felony, and you could be prosecuted in the US, but US laws don't rule in Thailand, the same as the 27 amendments to the US Constitution don't apply here either. The financial requirements for applying for the Non O from a VE or TV entry have never changed, nor allowed evidence of overseas transfers to be supplied as proof of income. Perhaps you're getting confused with when they issued a new order allowing proof of income to be evidence through overseas monthly transfers to a Thai bank and for the year after cessation of the Embassy Income letters they allowed leniency allowing just a few monthly overseas transfers as evidence. Nonsense. The proof of pension letter from the DWP clearly states the pension is paid every 4 weeks, not monthly. Immigration adjusted for that, even when transferring direct using the Bahtnet system. Most use Wise anyway for transfers, so can transfer just once a month. Never known anyone pushed towards an agent for that reason. -

1) Valid question, though airlines can often make up a small delay on departure in flight - depending on the airline and airport - I wouldn't want a delay of less than 1 hr 20 mins. There is also the additional risk of the baggage not getting through on a tighter connection. 2) Because the connection is not specifically for that individual flight, but a number of flights, thus it fits the best algorithm to suit a major routes and offset against the risk and potentail compensation rates of a connection on a minor route. Also Airlines have to meet take-off and landing slots - at an airlines 'home hub' there may be more variability on landing slots, but at destination airports landing slot and gate timing maybe more specific. Why sell the ticket in the first place ?... decisions will be based on balance probability of the compensation cost and statistical likelihood of a delayed flight vs loss of profit of not ticketing the route in the first place. For example: Flights Bangkok - Dubai - London are unlikely to have a 40min layover, because IF there is a missed connection due to delay of the first leg, 90% of passengers will miss their connecting flight. But: Flights Bangkok - Dubai - Istanbul are more likely to have a shorter layover, because most of the 'customers / passengers' of the initial Bangkok - Dubai will be taking layover to other destinations such as London, and they also calculate 1% of passengers are leg will be transiting to Istanbul - this the risk / probability / cost / profit factor allows for the shorter timing... Especially if the Dubai - Istanbul routes fits incoming flights from other areas where Transit to Turkey is wanted. -

What stage of the relationship are you currently in with your Thai lady?
Don't know what our future is. Had to marry because K1 visa. But I thought she was worth a K1. Married 3 years and living in USA. Odd she enjoys watching thai people eat and follows the kids of some rich and famous. But These bloggers have millions of followers . I think eating abundant food with family and friends nearby stuffing their faces for hours is comforting or the high life?? My biggest worry was after 20 years in bkk without a kitchen she couldn't cook. She is quite the cook now and learning and I've only started a few loads of laundry since she arrived and she won't let me near the sink when she is washing dishes. She doesn't iron clothes like she did for her uniforms in BKK but that's ok most Americans in the West don't wear pressed Levi's. It's great to not have to do any dishes or wash my smoker grates after a day smoking. She prepares all the mushrooms we find , she guts and cleans the fish we bring home and loves to cook them. Fish head soup is not bad. Oh that reminds me of one fight we had. I normally toss the heads and belly when I fillet my trout. Caused a real issue. I had to gather them out of the trash. Fried fish belly is excellent but probably not to healthy. I mark "monster time on my Google calendar with an "M" each month so I know it's not anything I did. We fish, hike, forage mushrooms, work together each day at a handyman Co. we started because she was bored mountain biking so much. People are envious we work together. Not many married couples spend 99% of their time together. Yes farts are funny for her. Maybe that's an isaan thing? She is staying fit and sexy. Has become all I could dream of in the bedroom or mountains. Doesn't drink. Doesn't like to go out. Maybe she doesn't want to be seen with her older husband. I wished she liked to go out but she hates to see drunk people. And I respect that as she has past and current family with that problem. Plus many in her village. She hasn't got her green card yet so we will see after that milestone. We don't share a telepathic connection like with the ex. Marriage is never a guarantee, just work through issues and enjoy the ride. She hates trump and that's all that matters politically. Seems thai's have a natural sense for good and bad people. -

What evidence dso you have for that? All Thais who are in proper employment will be taxed at source by their employers! Many of those in rural Thailand will not earn enough in cash to have any liabilty And your evidence for this is? Many expats will be in receipt of non-assessable income through DTAs. Even many of those who are not will be able to offset tax paid in home country which, together with Thai exemptions and allowances will also reduce their liability to zero. PH -
