In a civil society there should be no need for a police force at all, except that even when things are good and peaceful there are always those people who can't control their emotions and think that fighting or violence is the only way to get their point across. The best way to resolve any conflict or problem is through rational debate, with calm discussion. August 5, 20241 yr After being a regular visitor in Thailand, even lived here from 1987 to 1992 ,and 2000 to 2005, I have NEVER had an issue with the police! They have always been polite and fair the times they have stopped me riding my bikes around in the country.

August 5, 20241 yr At the very best I completely distrust them and try to avoid all contact. Usually I have a strong dislike for them, but during the covid period I really started to hate them. They way overstepped their authority and showed their true colours during the protests.
