How much was stuffed into brown envelopes for each of you to get rid of the most popular Thai political party as voted for by THE PEOPLE!! If there is any civil unrest, you will be totally responsible. As for the Monarchy, I better keep my gob shut with the exception of remembering Oliver Cromwell (UK History) Twins second from left in each row? One of the concerning issues is that this aging bunch were unanimous in their verdict. When the MFP successors get in they need to get rid of every single one of them. 1 3 1 1

sfbandung Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 What an absolute disgrace. Don't these fools know they won the election? 1
bristolgeoff Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 The leaders and party gone so the other parties will be very happy. They won the popular vote and now that means nothing.Another set of leaders or party name maybe, Thaksin,s party and military rule again.
Popular Post UbonEagle Posted August 7, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2024 Call me an optimist but I can’t see how a rebranded FF party won’t win an even bigger % of votes next election, and with a senate that now must be at least 20% ? aligned with them it will be impossible to stop them from holding power…except the C word… 2 1 3
TheFishman1 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 A total sham how embarrassing democracy yes again amazing Thailand TIT
Andycoops Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 The dinosaurs rule again. They just can't abide democracy and the will of the people. Thailand and the old guard are back in the dark ages, no hope here for the young. 1
Popular Post Expat Tom Posted August 7, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 7, 2024 Thailand is NOT a democracy....period. It is run by a cabal. By having such a pathetic educational system they keep that masses ignorant. Thailand will never be a modern country until it has major reforms. But, as an expat, it is not my concern. I came here by airplane many years ago and, as each day passes, I get closer to boarding the plane again. I am completely free but the average Thai is trapped. No sweat for me. I feel for the Thai people 1 3 2

wozzlegummich Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM: The ruling Politicians did what they needed to do to hang on to their very lucrative Government positions in the long-term. This is all about power which produces prodigious amounts of personal wealth. How can they possibly ask to respect the Thai judicial process when Thailand is now a laughing stock on the world democracy stage? All will be forgiven when the people get their 10000 baht digital wallet. 1
cookie1974 Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 Democracy (if it ever truly existed in thailand) is dead and buried long live the military junta....

SouthThailand Posted August 7, 2024 Posted August 7, 2024 It is not even a headline anymore online Bangkok Post this morning. It will be business as usual for the people in power here. Nothing to worry about.
Popular Post blazes Posted August 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 8, 2024 Paris 1789, Moscow 1917, Vietnam 1945, 54 and 75 come to mind as inspirations for the Thai people (but how much history of the outside world are they allowed to know?) The outside world helped to bring down the apartheid regime in S. Africa. Let's hope that same outside world will put long-term pressure on the centres of power in Thailand. 3

cncltd1973 Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 hardly surprising, the pyramidion won't be moved by gestures in politics. at least dissolving MFP saves the country from another coup. the constitutional monarchy benefits the pyramidion the most; retains all the benefits without the responsibility, a bit like retiring with all the money, no? 1
ricklev Posted August 8, 2024 Posted August 8, 2024 I wonder why they don't adopt non-violent protests like a nationwide work/student strike.
