Why were you born?: Did you ever stop to wonder?

Recommended Posts

Dear Folks,

How many times a day have you wondered why you were ever born?

And, then, so what is your guess.

I once knew a Linguistics Professor who thought he was born to be a slave on the family farm.

Yes, children are often considered slaves and free labor.

Were you born on a farm?

If you were born on a farm, then you know why you were born...

a.  To milk cows

b. To feed the chickens

c. And to buck hay....as a slave....

So, let's please go back to the Topic, and not get sidetracked by farming related videos.

This Topic is:

Why were you born, do you think?

Did your mother ever tell you?

Did your father ever tell you?

My guess is that you were born due to some NEED that your parents could not satisfy through other more logical means.

I do not know why I was born, because my parents didn't tell me, and the reason they did not tell me is that they did not know, themselves, presumably.

Were you born just to make a family for your parents, for example?

And, now that you are here, do they even care that they might have made a mistake, due to their ignorance?

Obviously, you were not truly PLANNED, your birth, I mean....

Obviously, they did not Tink Too Mut, about it....for sure.

So, really...

Why were you born...AND....

Are you going to advise other young prospective parents to just do the same Stinking unTinking Thing?

One should never start a family without a very clear and logical purpose.

If you need free-labor for the farm, then maybe best just to sell the farm.

For sure, I would have preferred to not have been born, merely for the purpose of fulfilling my parents mistaken belief that they needed KIDS to round out their relationship, together.

What I mean is, it might have been better, if they really wanted kids, to just buy a few goats, and wait for the kids to materialize.

Just wondering:

Does any person here know for sure....

Why they were born?

Best regards,

Gamma

What worries me most is why do I have to die when I didn't ask to be born?

Yes.

But I am also wondering:

How many of us actually have asked our parents WHY.

Do you think they would have been able to provide us with a logical reason WHY were were born?

I doubt they even had a clue, themselves....

I never asked my parents while they were alive, this question.

If I had, they would NOT have been able to answer this question, in any logical way.

(Was I born to post on TV, for example?  This seems logical....  Right?)

I can confidently, unequivocally, and with absolute certainty, fully confirm that I didn't read one single word, talk-less of a single syllable, of the entire OP. I wanted to be the first to tell you that without any confusion.

No need to report to me, Sir.

Still, thank you for informing me, because very few do.

Dad stuck his Pee Pee in mom before there was birth control and <deleted> happens?

I don't wonder why I was born, I wonder why I keep on living...

And no there is no need for an intervention.

We were born because someone was horny.

We dress it up and pretend there is some great cosmic significance, some even thinking a deity who 'created' 200 billion galaxies, most with a trillion stars, would take time out from its busy day to install a 'soul' in the microscopic zygote in one place on one planet in one solar system in one galaxy, that resulted from nothing more than somebody or two somebodies being horny, and the man firing his gun at just the right time of his partner's month.

The sole purpose of life is more life. Being horny evolved as an instinct toward that end of 'more life'. It has worked maybe 125 billion times since homo sapiens emerged, and accounts for 8 billion plus of us now.

Pretending there's more to it allows us to feel special. Plus, since we have the ability to enjoy what the senses provide, we can have a good time and be thankful for horni-ness. In fact, we can feel that (horny) ourselves and do our part to add 'more life'.

Call your favorite deity! Let the celestial factory churn out another soul. A fertilized egg, trying to attach itself to a uterine wall, awaits.

Accident. My mother was still breastfeeding my brother and thought she couldn't get pregnant. Boy, did she resent me, like it was my fault

You did swim the fastest. That's not her fault :)

My mother wanted children. My father didn't.

Having produced me, she allowed my father to banish me from the family at the age of 10. People are weird.

I never had to. My mother told me- she wanted children. My father didn't want children.

She should have asked my father about that BEFORE getting married.
