Buying Airline Ticket for Thai Lady

I’m wanting to buy my Thai lady a domestic flight ticket. Do I use some sort of official English version of her name or do I try to enter her name in Thai? Is she ok checking in with only her Thai ID? I’m pretty sure she has no passport. Thanks

You must use the correct name, as on her ID card or passport. Any mistake in the spelling will negate the ticket. Domestic flights only need an ID

That would certainly be the easiest way to go and she would then learn the procedure for future travel.

Her name is in English on her ID card. Just that.

 

Edit: Unless you're travelling with her, don't pay with a bank card. The card holder must be one of the passengers and they may ask to see the card.

The English version include “Miss” I assume is like Mr and not included? Also the English does not have any sort of middle name. Is that the norm?

Unless she just a short-term sausage casing, get her a passport. Cheap and takes like a week. She'll have an official name in English.

When you fill in the booking form just enter her name exactly is you see it on her ID card. Just as you would if you were using a passport.

 

As best I recall the title Mr. Mrs. or Miss are not asked for, but it is a while since I flew anywhere.

As I said in  my post, whatever is on the ID card is what you need to use.

It's easy, I do it all the time.  Copy the name (in English) from her ID or passport.  Miss or Mrs is irrelevant. And they will not care who paid, i.e. not ask to see the  paying bank card.

This is getting painful, as well as irritating.  What part of 'put down exactly what is on the ID card', don't you understand?   If the Miss is not needed it won't matter and if it is needed well.......  Now just go do it and let the rest of us get some peace

No.  If the booking site gives you options choose one, if not it's not needed and it is certainly not part of her name.

She already has that, it's on her ID card.

"Miss" is a title, not part of her name. Some airline booking sites have a drop-down list of titles (on Emirates it even includes "Prince" and "King"), others don't. If there's a list, select "Miss" - otherwise ignore it.

The official name appears on a Thai ID in English. No need for a passport to fly domestically.

Thais don't normally have a middle name as far as I know.
