My only wish would be that more pepes would see the light about what this is all leading to

Yes, including depopulation of most of humanity, which may seem impossible, but when people become slaves that all changes.  Seems that most people prefer to play ostrich, and are either oblivious or do not understand that creating awareness is the first step to stop the insanity. It would be a good start if there were laws that banned any organization from imposing a CBDC on any individual.

It is not only Thailand

Yes but it's hard to think that Thailand would be in the first 20 over the line.

The digital wallet is the biggest vote corruption of the Pheu Thai Party, vote for us and you will receive 10,000 B. the maximum splendour of corruption under everyone's eyes. It will increase the state debts for the corrupts this but it does not matter because in power they will be able to fill their pockets once again before being kicked out by the military.

Didn't mean to imply that Thailand would be at any particular place in the queue. There are a number of countries ahead of Thailand, like Communist China and some African countries. Becoming slaves to the globalists is a worldwide race, but not all countries are working hard at it or talking about it. The digital wallet is a ploy, a con to get people to volunteer to sign up for a digitalID. People will join and tell others how convenient it is (and it is likely to be very fast and convenient), but the concept will be sold to the public without the cons. I believe there is a target number after which the volunteering will be over and everyone will be forced by any means to participate or lose access to all finances. The part that should scare everyone is  the "programmable" preceding CBDC. It means that CBDC money can be programmed to expire if not used by a certain date, that trying to spend money that the controllers deem unacceptable can result in lost ESG points, auto-deduction of money from your accounts , frozen accounts, or even deleted accounts.

Exactly! But the THB10,000 giveaway is the cheese used to lure unwary and poor people into the trap. It's a step towards a CBDC that banks (and governments) around the world are pushing us toward. With a central database it's much easier to control people.

Don't you just love it......better than a Brian Rix farce......anyone recall him?

Ah, the Whitehall Farses, at least our lot here keep they trousers on, they had scripts then, this lot seem to make it up as they go along, with Tony and co the main producers

I think it will be scraped, a lot of economists said it was not a good idea country cannot afford it.

But a piece on the BBC website a couple of weeks ago said more than one county was watching to see what would happen, more than one thinking about a cashless society.

Maybe they can thread the needle. Get just enough stimulus out there to jump start local businesses not called 7 Eleven. People could use the money wisely to improve their own home efficiency and access to employment. Foreign investors will like what they see so much, they'll push and shove to be the first one to build new plants in Thailand. China alone could send 80 million tourists. And Putin could work out another one of those chickens for oil trade schemes that will favor Thailand growth.

Could happen. Yep. Could happen.

The #1 flaw is right in your statement.   People could use the money wisely to
