Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
The question was for you to pick one and comment on why you went that way, something that you are clearly incapable of doing, thus, your trolling. -

Are you "all in" in your relationship?
If you're not all in, then you really aren't in a loving relationship. Not sure what you would call it, or how people label their 'relationship' ... ... partners till needed ... business relationship / employment They're the only 2 non offensive ways I can express my thoughts. No need to wonder what is wrong in this world. Why I enjoy being anti social. Hope there's a few parents out there (if alive) that would disown their children if hearing or reading some of the things I read. Or not, and that could be the problem also. -

Harris Surges Past Trump In Election Betting Markets After First Presidential Debate
Trump rips ‘low-life’ ABC moderators in first postdebate speech He also complained that the hair of one of the mods wasn't as nice as it once was. No kidding! Trump: "And his hair is not as good as it used to be.” I think at this point in time it's worth reminding everybody that this joke was once the POTUS - THE PRESIDENT OF THE USA! -

Is the Tax compliance going to be linked to Visa issuance ?
Drivel. Laughable. The whole point of this overseas cash grab is to nail down transactions like this. I have friends of this level of wealth who have already looked into this. Do you know what this passage actually means? "For tax planning purposes, it’s crucial to understand that you must not derive any benefit when gifting assets. For example, if an expat sends money from overseas to their Thai spouse and it covers their living expenses, it is not considered a gift. Attempting to bypass the tax regulations in this way is likely to be considered tax evasion, potentially resulting in severe penalties." The bold highlighted aspect is clear. Do you understand the implications of - "must not derive any benefit." -

Date of exit stamp if flight at 1a.m.? Recent experiences?
Thx for your answers. About your question: I went through old threads before opening this one, and at least one person posted that he got the arrival stamp for the date his flight landed. Visible from the boarding pass. -

Australian Aged Pension
Huh? I'll NEVER qualify for the aged pension. I'm one of the many "workers" that pay to feed the non workers, even after I have stopped working. Probably people like yourself, who never accumulated any assets, or lost it all in Thailand, and went back to Australia cap in hand. -

USA Credit Bureaus - Equifax Says They Do Not Have My Credit File
Interesting. It sounds to me this is all about you being open as an expat. I still have a U.S. credit report based on U.S. residency which I do not have. Address, phone number, credit card with U.S. address. etc. That's what they like. Not saying its fair. I guess the good news is that it usually becomes less important for older people to have good credit scores but of course if you're moving back and hope to rent an apartment, etc. it's a big problem. -

Revisiting History: The Unlikely Campaign to Vilify Winston Churchill
Yes indeed, that was key, to avoid a war on two fronts, a trauma for Germany. They did not succeed to avoid this in the end. But I doubt it would have been temporary. Hitler thought the Empire was a useful structure in the world. He did not want war with Britain. Britain forced war on him. Some people also said that attacking Russia was also motivated by a desire to show Britain that it was useless to prolong the war. Hitler thought the British were just hoping for Russia to defeat Germany and if he could take Russia out, this would further strengthen his hand to achieve peace on his terms. However, there were probably other more important reasons that made Hitler decide on attacking Russia. However, he did so after seeing figures from his intelligence service, Fremde Heere Ost, which were largely removed from reality. When the scale of Russian arms came out during the war Hitler was shocked and said he was misled. Which had indeed been the case. -

USA Credit Bureaus - Equifax Says They Do Not Have My Credit File
You are confused. They state they can not find your file based on the information you provided not that they do not have it. I had that issue and easily fixed it by sending them some information. Try sending what they want not things which clearly don’t meet their needs like the drivers licenses without current addresses. -

Revisiting History: The Unlikely Campaign to Vilify Winston Churchill
The Battle of Britain did have some minor effects, also on the timing of Barbarossa. However, overall the effect was not huge, as mokwit posted the initial successes of the Luftwaffe in Russia bear this out. The superior quality of German arms was not always an advantage, btw. Whilst the Germans focused on producing tiny numbers of jet planes their opponents produced giant numbers of less advanced, but still deadly planes and tanks. Of course Stalin would emphasize the importance of aid, the more he received the better it was for him. But if you'd asked him if he'd preferred if the British and Americans open a second front, that would have been his preference. To put the numbers into perspective. Lend lease gave 7000 tanks to Russia. The Russians themselves produced 100,000 armoured vehicles (!!!). Need one say more? Lend lease was more useful in updating rail infrustructure and providing trucks. But in terms of fighting on the battlefield the effect was not huge. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lend-Lease -

Bangkok taxi driver berates passenger over travel distance
That's what often happens when you try to be clever and avoid using the taxi rank to save 50thb. I got one from the departures area at DMK years ago, and he didn't want to take me to my destination on the meter, so he tried to intimidate me into paying 1,000thb. He tried doing this by taking me to the underground car park en-route back to the terminal where he picked me up. The intimidation didn't work, and I got out and got another taxi easily. In those days this kind of behaviour was common, more recently I have had no major issues. -
