I used to (7 years ago) get mine cleaned at the last petrol station on the left, just before Sukumvit Rd on Teprassit Rd.

Modern vehicles have clearcoats of the duco. Polishing is unnecessary, and likely to do more harm than good. A good wash, after cleaning up road tar with turps, is all that's needed.

Apply a wax coat if you are extra fussy.

 

Older cars should have oxidized paint removed with cutting compound, then buffed to a shine, followed by waxing.
