Sending a doc to UK from Thailand

Featured Replies

I have to send a doc to UK, but I only have ...

Name of Company,

PO Box no 709,

town name,

Post code,

UK.

Will I be able to send by Thailand Post or EMS?

I know this was asked a few years ago, but anyone had recent experience or advice.

I've sent the company an e-mail and I  know I could try to call and ask for a full address.

That is a full address.

I am presuming that they have declined your request to send a scanned copy.

Send it by ordinary airmail. Any other method is ridiculously costly and not much more efficient.

If it is important/valuable use a courier.

I think I am right in saying that EMS only tracks as far as far UK arrival  - (I am happy to stand corrected on that)

Thanks for the reply.

It just concerns me that there is no street address.

Not sure if EMS could send to a PO Box.

I've read that DHL, FedEx & UPS won't or can't send to a PO Box.

Can EMS or regular Thailand Post?

Deleted.

No chance to Google for a street address?

Thin ice 🤣

Do you not know anybody in the UK you could send to and have them forward?

If you post by Thai Post EMS, it will be given to UK Royal Mail on arrival in the UK and they will definitely post to a PO box number

PO Box is all you need.It will be sorted by Royal Mail staff into a discrete bag and collected by the company.

I just received an email reply from Thailand Post at Laksi and they said "they cannot deliver mail to a GB PO Box no"

Interesting comments above saying EMS post will be given to Royal Mail, but how can I be sure.

I think this could be my best option. My sister can forward by Royal Mail.

Thailand Post will not deliver it, the Royal Mail  will. It changes hands to them when it arrives and Visa versa.

The postcode gives the street address .

Its the streets name, but just in code

Wrong. Registered mail to the USA took nearly 2 months to arrive. EMS took less than 2 weeks AND it was tracked all the way to delivery, with signature of recipient. Costly, though, I agree.

Whether I like to think so or not. Are we done?
