webfact Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Picture courtesy: Thai Rath In a disturbing case from Suphan Buri, a 12-year-old girl fled to seek help after being forced into prostitution by her aunt to serve a local official in Doembang Nangbuat District. The aunt received 2,000 baht, giving only 1,000 baht to the girl. On September 12, 2024, police from Doembang Nangbuat Station questioned a Tambon Administrative Organization Council member, identified as Mr. Sakon Phonsajjatham, following allegations of sexual abuse involving the girl. The girl's aunt reportedly arranged for her niece to provide sexual services to Mr. Sakon. Authorities, including the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, escorted the victim’s family for questioning and protection, while Mr. Sakon was interrogated. Efforts were made to keep the family and the girl under care and away from media interference. Initial investigations revealed that Mr. Sakon negotiated with the girl's aunt, who brought her niece to him for 2,000 baht. The girl was taken to a hotel, where Mr. Sakon abused her after consuming a pill. Afterwards, he returned the girl to her aunt, who gave her 1,000 baht. When the girl refused to go with Mr. Sakon again, citing pain, her aunt scolded her. Fearing further abuse, the girl sought refuge at a friend’s house, eventually contacting trusted individuals who helped her reach government authorities. The Ministry of Social Development and Human Security is now pursuing charges against Mr. Sakon for child rape. Popular Post Tropicalevo Posted September 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 13, 2024 Sadly, this kind of thing is not unusual. Luckily, it is not that common. A very good friend of mine had a daughter - aged 12 or 13. Usual story. My friend moved to Bangkok to work, leaving the daughter in the care of her grandmother. The grandmother was caught trying to sell my friend's daughter's virginity. My friend refused to involve the police. She just moved away from her mother, taking the daughter with her. Grandmother was a compulsive gambler. There were more issues after this one but not relevant here. 6 3 2
Popular Post Gottfrid Posted September 13, 2024 Popular Post Posted September 13, 2024 Who needs enemies when it´s all in the family. The aunt is an evil entity and should be treated like the alien she is. Send her back to Saturn. After that, Mr. Sakon is not much of a man. Need to eat pills to get it up, at the same time as he need a 12 year old. Disgusting human being, that should serve jail time for the rest of his time breathing on this planet. Good job of the girl to refuse and run away as quick as she did. Hope she get the help she need from friends and professionals. 5 3 1 1 7

webfact Posted September 13, 2024 Author Posted September 13, 2024 Thai woman forces 12 year old niece into prostitution with govt official by Petch Petpailin Photo via Channel 7 A Thai woman forced her 12 year old niece into prostitution, offering sex services to a 60 year old government official in the central province of Suphan Buri. The case came to light when the 12 year old victim fled from home and sought help from a friend’s family. The family accompanied the girl to the Doem Bang Nang Buat Police Station to file a complaint. Police revealed that the girl’s aunt, whose name remains undisclosed, allegedly forced her to offer sex services to the 60 year old man, named Sakhon Pornsatjadham, who worked as a member of the district administrative organisation council. Sakhon was arrested yesterday, September 12, after being summoned for questioning. He admitted to paying the girl’s aunt 2,000 baht for sex with the young girl. He said he arranged a meeting at a local convenience store before taking the girl to a hotel. Sakhon claimed to have taken Viagra before sexually assaulting the girl. He then returned the girl to the convenience store, where her aunt was waiting to pick her up. The aunt allegedly shared 1,000 baht of the 2,000 baht payment with the girl. According to the victim, her aunt forced her to provide sex services to Sakhon again, but she refused. Scared of her aunt’s anger, the girl decided to flee from her home to stay with her friend. Sakhon was charged under Section 277 of the Criminal Law, which carries a penalty of imprisonment from five to 20 years and a fine from 10,000 to 400,000 baht. It remains unclear whether the girl’s aunt was summoned for questioning or charged with any crime. In a related incident, an 11 year old girl was allegedly tricked by her aunt into meeting a perverted man who attempted to rape her in his pickup truck. Fortunately, the girl managed to escape. Her father, frustrated with the slow pace of the legal system, took matters into his own hands and brutally beat up the suspect. There is no update on whether the girl has received justice. The aunt and the girl will be "persuaded" by some officials to drop the charges in exchange for a few thousand baht and there will be case as nobody is going to press charges. End of this case. Next one please .... 1 1 1

It doesn't seem like a case that needs someone other than the provincial court or whatever it's called to press charges?
Tequila makes me happy Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Of course the hotel didn't intervene, nothing suspicious here if you pay.
spidermike007 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Nothing short of the death penalty is appropriate in these sort of instances, and if the state is unwilling to impose it, well then there are other solutions. I don't even want to begin to hear about this being a cultural thing it doesn't matter what culture it is, it's a despicable act and it warrants extreme punishment. If a 12-year-old decides to fool around on her own that's on her, but for it to be imposed upon her is way over the line. 2

If anything foreigners who support wives and girlfriends who inturn support families prevent this from happening. Whereas Thai men running off leaving their wife and child causes this to happen. In a country with no support for vulnerable and unemployed these things happen. Desperation! No money no food = starvation and death. 1 1
BerndD Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 The aunt should be punished severely because she embezzled 1000 baht!
trainman34014 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 Aunt is most likely Illiterate and will get away with a rollicking. The Perverted 'Offficial' will be transfered to somewhere near a Border away from anyone who knows anything about it and life will continue as normal. In the 20 years i have lived here i have lost count of such cases along with Men in the Family sexually assaulting their own Offspring, Grandchildren, Nieces, etc etc. I can never remember a single person being sent to Prison for any such offence ! 1 1
