Over on Wall Street, Harris’ high-profile backers include billionaires Jonathan Gray, president of asset manager Blackstone, Marc Lasry of credit investment firm Avenue Capital Group, and hedge fund baron George Soros. Harris has a fairly limited public record on financial regulation, but analysts still expect former President Donald Trump to be friendlier to financial firms, as he has promised to rid Wall Street of “burdensome regulations.”
