85% humidity is this a record?

Featured Replies

During the past week of 85% humidity and 26°C during this incessant storm and low pressure, my thoughts have been turning to purchasing a boat.
Is 85% humidity a record, and what happens should it climb to 100%.
I mean would I feel any drier in my swimming pool.

No, 85% humidity is not a record and when it hits 100% we generally become extremely uncomfortable as it is practically impossible for sweat to evaporate and cool us down.

It's when you're at 32°c and over 70% then it's just horrible.  Been like that a few times the last couple of weeks.

Heat I don't mind but humidity saps the hell out of you.

I love it when it rains... It's a bit of relief.
