A 69-Year-Old Man Crushed to Death by Collapsed Charcoal Kiln: Lampang

At approximately 06:15 on September 24, the rescue unit of the Muang Yao Subdistrict Municipality in Hang Chat District, Lampang, received a distress call from a local resident. The caller reported an incident in Ban Mai Samakkhi, Moo 11, Muang Yao Subdistrict, where a man had been crushed by a collapsed charcoal kiln.

 

Rescue personnel swiftly arrived at the scene and discovered the victim, a 69-year-old man, unconscious beneath the heavy structure. Rescuers had to cool down the debris and remove the collapsed brickwork by hand to reach and remove the casualty.
 

Despite immediate efforts to revive him through CPR, the man succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

 

Authorities have since transported the body to Hang Chat Hospital for a formal autopsy, before releasing it to the victim’s family for religious funeral rites.
