Mr. Prompong Nopparit, former spokesman for the Pheu Thai party, is examining whether Palang Pracharath leader Prawit Wongsuwan's overseas trips this year violated any official regulations. Concerns arose after it was discovered that Prawit missed 84 out of 95 House sessions, citing other commitments.

Laughable... how much salary did he get paid for missing most of the sessions.

Many people probably wished he had stayed abroad, as far away from the troughs of Thailand as possible. No such luck though.

He could be anywhere in the world, payments would still be be electronically sent.

He plans to continue his inquiry until Prawit takes responsibility, either by attending House sessions or resigning as a party-listed MP.

How long have you got?

Prawit's day in politics is done. Leave him in the black  hole he has dug for himself.

Not forgetting to fill the hole in while he's still alive.

I half expect the powers that be to hurry up and make him a member of the Privy Council, so like Prayut and past coup leaders, they can be treated like demigods instead of the vile criminals they actually are.

An old, hugely obese man like this might have been visiting European hospitals where healthcare is a step or two better than Thailand.

He might have been sorting out his foreign income with the new global tax regime in mind.

I just can't (don't want to) imagine him in a thong on the French Riviera. Anything but that.
