Israeli Interrogator Warns of Continued Violence as Long as Hamas Leader Sinwar Lives

Michael Koubi, a former Shin Bet agent, recalls his chilling experience with Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas chief and mastermind behind the deadly October 7 attacks. Koubi, who interrogated Sinwar for 180 hours after his arrest in 1988, described the Hamas leader as a deeply radicalized individual whose sole mission is the destruction of Israel and the death of its people.

Sinwar hiding in the Gaza tunnels:

“I saw a man with murderous eyes, filled with nothing but hate,” Koubi, now 79, told *The Post*. The former Israeli agent said that during their time together, it became clear that Sinwar’s ultimate goal was to kill all Jews. Koubi stressed that peace in the region is impossible as long as Sinwar remains alive, claiming that the Hamas leader would never agree to a ceasefire or any form of reconciliation. “Sinwar will never, never, never accept peace,” he emphasized. “As long as he is alive, he will carry out another massacre. He must be killed.”

Koubi shared disturbing details of Sinwar’s brutal tactics, both against Israelis and his own people. The former agent recalled how Sinwar spoke casually about atrocities he had committed, including beheading one suspect and burying another person alive. Koubi, a seasoned interrogator, was deeply shocked by what he heard. “How can someone be so gruesome? How can a man be this cruel?” Sinwar's brutal methods earned him the title "The Butcher of Khan Younis," a name that commanded both fear and respect within Hamas.

One of the most chilling moments Koubi recalls is when Sinwar bragged about indoctrinating young Palestinians into violence and antisemitism. Sinwar told of a visit to a Gaza kindergarten where he separated the toddlers into two groups—Palestinians and Israelis—and made a game out of who could kill the most Jews. Koubi, horrified by the depth of Sinwar’s fanaticism, felt certain that the man posed an enduring threat to Israel and the region.

Although Sinwar was sentenced to life in prison, he was released in 2011 as part of a prisoner exchange deal in which Israel freed over 1,000 prisoners in exchange for the captured Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit. Koubi vehemently opposed Sinwar’s release, warning his superiors at the time that it would lead to further bloodshed. His fears were realized when Sinwar was implicated in orchestrating the October 7 attacks. Despite Israeli offers of exile and safety in exchange for the release of hostages, Koubi remains convinced that Sinwar must be eliminated to prevent further violence. “I know him better than anyone, and he is a danger to the world,” Koubi warned. “The only solution is to kill him.”

As Israel grapples with the aftermath of the October 7 attacks, Koubi’s words stand as a grim reminder of the enduring threat posed by radicalized leaders like Sinwar, whose commitment to violence leaves little room for hope of a peaceful resolution.

There was a cease fire until a year ago then Hammas terrorists invaded Israel.

Now Israel have retaliated people who want the Isralies to cease operations before Hammas are eliminated are mistaken.

The only way to end a war forever is to win.  They must surrender or die.

I'm not condoning Oct 7th I'm saying it did not happen in a vacuum. Now with the killing of 1.000s of innocent men women and children you don't think the men who lose there family are perfect recruits or orphans growing up as a constant bomb target .

Hopefully they will realise that war is terrible and they opt for a future without war by accepting Israel's right to exist , for them to be just like a papa and become a terrorist and attack Israel  will just prolong the war

Hamas can stop the killing right now, today, by returning the hostages and surrendering.   Why is it on Isreal to stop when they were the ones who had people raped, maimed, butchered in cold blood?   Do you really hate Jews that much you don't want them to be able to defend themselves against the terrorists on their doorsteps?  If the Palestinians are all so innocent why is it do you think the neighbouring muslim countries are not opening their doors and welcoming them into their countries?

Well said.   👏

Why is it that Palestinian supporters only just always mention the woman and children ?

Never ever mention the tens of thousands of adult male  Terrorists who have been killed ...............just woman and children .

Anyone would think that they are trying to give  false narrative that Israel only targets innocent woman and children and doesn't target terrorists

It seems to me that Hamas "was" just an inconvenience to Gazans. Think of all the work building tunnels going on below their feet. It must have been uncomfortable to put up with that during their daily routines (for years). The more comfortable part was the reality that death to all Israelis was the norm. Obviously the so called innocent Gazan population prefer the extinction of Israel to the removal of Hamas. So unfortunately everyone sleeps in the bed they make.

I would say the same about Netanyahu...

Thats because you are a left wing terrorist supporter

I consider myself a left-wing, two-state-solution supporter. I am against the terrorism we've seen over the past 70 years from both sides.

Why is it if you don't back the hardliners part of the Jewish government you automatically hate Jews 🤔

50% of Jews are not in favour of the stance Netanyahu is taking they obviously hate Jews also?

I would prefer for the mass bombing to stop or are you so callous you don't care because it doesn't affect you

The bombings and war need to continue until there is a victory .

One side needs to totally lose this war and the other needs to win  , otherwise there will another war soon enough

As long as you believe in a Jewish Israeli state regardless of its borders, then you are a Zionist .

People who believe in two state solution are Zionists

Israel can stop the death and destruction today as well. All THEY need to do is get rid of Netanyahu and his murderous war cabinet, stop invading other countries and agree to a peace deal.
