AIS Prepay

Featured Replies

I visit Thailand once or twice a year for 2 or three weeks at at time.  I have an AIS sim card which I got a few years ago but keep it active by topping it up occasionally so as not to have to get a new one each time.

Can anybody tell me what is the best plan for internet, data, call, messages etc. and how to buy it.

Until recently there seems to be have been lots of options but all I can see now is one or seven day plans.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you

I used to go to 7Eleven 199baht for 30 days. Got a new sem each time I came.  Can download an app for topping up or go in to 7Eleven. Take passport. Can get in Pattaya. I have not managed it in Bangkok there they want to sell tourist SIM. True network. Can put 1,000 b on and it's good for about 6 Months without having to change SIM.

Get an Ais GOMO sim, valid for a year, 99 baht.

You also get 10 GB high speed data and some calling free included.

I have the one year package 999 incl tax for 150 GB.

Unlimited speed. AIS WiFi where available.

300 min calls to all domestic networks.

Very satisfied for mobile use/on the road.

(at home have 3BB fiber)

I had to let the daughter register the SIM card.

Didn't work in English for me (passport nr).

Usually they have month deals on their app or instore

Some of the prices leave me shocked.
Seems they milk the cows to pay for the expensive 5G equipment.

10 Mbit/s, 30 days for 1100 !!! Baht.

From the past I remember new SIM, one month 15 Mbit/s for 300 or so?

Are they serious?

They are truly rubbish now it seems, i switched to 3BB for fibre but still have AIS unlimited data 10mbps for 150 baht a month for the phone and backup

For anyone who's interested in using more data at their top speed. Go to line pay and click the ais logo. In there they give you the option to buy 100gb for 300 baht with a validity of 30 days including tax, sometimes I use x2 of these in a month but if you get their top package, top speed and unlimited data through ais it's about 1600 with tax!

The point I'm making is 200gb for 600baht for their top speed is basically like unlimited at top speed for the month, even if you used x3, 300gb data download @900baht it's still way cheaper. Well worth a look of you use more and need a decent speed.

Also if you need another 100gb you don't need to wait until the 30days is up, you can just purchase another 100gb package. Only ever not been available once in the year I've been doing this because allocation has been filled but there is a lot available.

You also have the option for 75 or 50gb for half and a quarter of that price respectively but they also last for less time. I normally do 100gb every 2 weeks.
