Thailand’s Bold Move: Decriminalising Sex Work Sparks National Debate
Indeed, there are plenty of jobs available everywhere, but you probably don't like to work. Sitting in a bar with free drinks and occasionally checking the paintjob on the ceiling of their "customers", but that's not what Id call working. -

Agree! Not a problem for my either. It was just the only thing I could find, if they need to complain over something. 😉 -

Yahya Sinwar’s Gambit: A Failed Attempt to Reshape the Middle East
Never going to happen under Netanyahu, who has opposed a 2 state solution for decades. The closest to that was under Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated in 1995, which allowed the opposition(Netanyahu) to seize power. -

Murder-Suicide in Chachoengsao: Jealous Boyfriend Shoots Girlfriend, Then Himself
I've seen this lack of maturity elsewhere in Asia amongst teens/20-somethings. I've chatted with quite a few locals where I live about this, and it's almost universally blamed on overly protective/domineering parenting and aggressive/bullying school teachers. Not sure how this aligns with Thailand, but I've heard a few similar stories about the schooling. The school system here is the number one reason for families to emigrate to Canada/Oz/UK; those are normally the parents who want their children to mature into well-rounded human beings who can think for themselves rather than being robots. The one big difference is that the children are all well aware of the unacceptability of violence, backed up by a very proactive police and criminal justice system. This is obviously very different to Thailand. It's incredibly unusual to hear about similar murder/suicides like the one in the OP, but the suicide rate is very high amongst teens/20-somethings. I've got a friend who is in the police here; the number of suicides she has to attend to in her patch is truly depressing in its scale. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
I'm struggling to see where previous estimates exist, outside the 48 to 52 percent range, a 4% variance. I think most people should be willing to accept that margin of error in discussions such as these. I also think 3.2.1 in the bot document is reliable. -

I don't put anyone on ignore, as even some of the strangest trolls post some okay replies. Everyone knows a little bit of something, and an expert in one area might be clueless in another. And that was a paragraph, and not too long so some might not want to read it or fail to understand it's meaning. -

When you work in your home country and retire later in life there are up sides and down sides. One upside is that if you work 20 or 30 years you get a lot of long service leave which means you can take holidays on top of the 4 weeks a year. -

You are the one who is not very nice, just look at your previous posts, where you have been absolutely downright rude and upset people wherever you go in Thailand.- 1
