How about having both at the same time.   The condo my wife and I have has both.

Sorry.

However, under the RULES of this Topic, any TV member here is allowed only an EITHER/OR choice.

One cannot have both, unfortunately.

Thank you for your kind understanding.

I suggest you buy two more condos, one with a quiet room, and another with a view.

Then, spend alternate days in each.

And then, after you have formed an opinion, share it with the forum.

Having lived in noisy and having lived in quiet, I prefer quiet with a view.

That is the opinion I share with the forum.

Speaking of quiet.   I went to the shooting range yesterday (my Sunday), which is out in an industrial area away from surrounding domiciles with noisy children, motorcycles, cars with loud exhausts etc.

Not much of a view but when no one was shooting, the only noise was the wind in the trees.   When there is no wind, nice and quiet.

When shooting at the range, always use a reliable backstop.

And, never fire straight up in the air.

20 foot tall berms for backstops.   If I fired straight up, I would miss my targets.

How important would it be for you to have either a Quiet Room or a Room With a View, if you had to choose between having one or the other?

Both, and I have both...

You cannot lay down rules on any topic even if you are the OP.

I suggest you lock yourself into your quiet room and stay quiet in future!

Saying both does rather defeat the whole idea of the thread.

It's OK.

If they REALLY want to have their Cake and Eat it....

Then who am I to stand in their way?

No, Noel Gallagher.

I only know Coward, and not Gallagher.

I do know Oasis.

But, they are NOTHING compared to the Great Coward, for sure....

Me too... a quiet area with not much doing, lots of birds and views out over the rice fields...

I would actually LOVE a padded cell.

But, aren't they expensive?

With a padded cell, I would be in a truly quiet environment for the first time since leaving the EastCoast of Taiwan, on the most eastern tip of the entire island of Formosa.

It would be great.

Maybe the posters here can take up a Gofundme for you to have that padded cell.

Which are the prisons with the best tennis courts, the best views, AND having the most comfortable padded cells?

I know of a great prison on the Green Island just south of the main island of Formosa.

Years ago, the tiny island was quite unspoiled.

Plenty of fish due to the currents that pass by that geographical location.

Low population density, too.

But that was back in 1985.

These days, they have ferries running back and forth and the passengers these boats carry have trashed Green Island....for sure.....

You might still be able to catch a boat to Devil's Island.

Why do you think that readers are interested in the make and power of your home appliances? Nothing else to fill your post with?

He does that. He also repeats himself incessantly. Count how many times you see 'quiet room'. 😋

All good though, it'd be rather boring if everyone were ramrod straight and normal.

I pick view over quiet, although cannot stand neighbour noise, which I don't currently get. Have a school nearby which can get ridiculous with teachers screaming in microphones... I don't get why they have to do that when the kids are right by them. When the schools are out, it is bliss.

You don't know Noel Gallagher, but DO know Oasis?

The view from the balcony of our house in Rayong. Personally, if I had to choose between a quiet room or a room with a view, I would take the room a view. Restful and calming even if there is noise outside.

Truly a picture of paradise.

You are one lucky duck to have spent a portion of your life in such a setting as this.

Almost surreal in its beauty, in fact.

Some have it.

Some do not.

You have it.

Almost hauntingly beautiful.

My only question is:

Have you uploaded some sort of AI-generated image of Everyman's ideal?
