Oh, is that true?? What a revelation - wouldn't be surprised if there was a Nobel prize for you in the not too distant future!

What does Harris's father, a highly regarded economist residing in DC say?

So 23, rich, leftist academics support Harris, shocking.

From the OP's link:

"Stiglitz also led an effort in June, with 15 fellow Nobel winners, to highlight what the signatories said would be a “destabilizing effect” of a second Trump term on the US economy. The group said at the time that then-candidate Biden’s economic agenda was also “vastly superior.”"

And:

"But the new letter, which began to come together after Harris detailed her economic vision late last month, includes seven new signatories and represents a wide cross-section in the field in terms of areas of expertise and approach to economics."

I think it funny that they just change the name from Biden to Harris and re-submit it, and the letter (apparently) gave no reason other than tariffs, why Harris's plan is "vastly superior".

What I find truly hilarious is this line in updated Harris letter: "...after Harris detailed her economic vision late last month..."

Detailed her economic vision, seriously?

Their preferred candidate for the economy losing has nothing to do with whether the advice was correct or not.

I guess we will just have to be left wondering about things that could have been.

Yeah, and 51 intelligence officials said the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation.

What is the opposite of intelligence that fits in that sentence?

shifty schiffs imaginary phone call,

I'm glad he will still be in the senate. Being in the minority party while Trump lays waste to the Democrat plan will be the best punishment he could suffer.

23 Nobel Prize-winning economists call Harris’ economic plan vastly superior’ to Trump’s

and no one believed them :cheesy:

They were more willing to believe something like this:

September 6, 2024 -- NEW YORK (AP) — Former President Donald Trump suggested to business leaders Thursday that his plans to increase tariffs on foreign imports would solve seemingly unrelated challenges such as the rising cost of child care in the U.S.

The GOP presidential nominee promised to lead what he called a “national economic renaissance” by increasing tariffs, slashing regulations to boost energy production and drastically cutting government spending as well as corporate taxes for companies that produce in the U.S.

“We’re going to be taking in trillions of dollars, and as much as child care is talked about as being expensive, it’s — relatively speaking — not very expensive, compared to the kind of numbers we’ll be taking in,” he said.
