Condo with good security

Does anyone have a recommendations for a good rented condo in the Pattaya area.

 

i) 40 - 60 sq. m.

ii) happy to be well away from downtown, 10 km away is not a problem

iii) maximum rental budget 16000 Baht per month

iv) good security for parking is a must. I have a nice motorbike.

 

Thanks for any suggestions.

Centric Sea, for one.  Can't remember if The Base did when we owned there.

and all the fire escape doors leading to the stairs, is open on all floors, ?

Apparently (according to NDTV), The Base is to be fitted with facial recognition and finger-print scanners soon on entrance doors and elevators, in an effort to deter short term rentals.

Really, that's amazing lol. The Base is  full of AirBNB renters and the Juristic Office didn't give a toss about it. Signs are plastered all over the lifts but the office and the staff doesn't give a toss about enforcing it. There are about 10 Thai people and 2 Chinese people who every day are sitting downstairs all day and night to check-in their AirBNB tenants, who they are subletting them to and the juristic office doesn't give a toss.

 

Entrance glass doors to the lifts were wide open on one of the buildings and the doors don't make any real security benefits, as most people will hold the door open for the next person or press the button release for the doors for people having issues finding their keycard to scan.

Interesting, I lived there several years ago and it was the worst short term rentals crowd probably in the city.

But, the management there was totally acceptable of it and I often wondered if they had some financial interest.

Maybe they have new management with these changes.

     Really a shame what happened to The Base.  In the beginning it was a nice project in a very good location.   Spouse and I were one of the first owners--we bought a 1 bedroom to rent out to long-term renters.  We had a great tenant from the get-go on a 1-year contract.       However, by the time the year was about over the tenant informed us he would not renew--for the same reasons you stated in your post.  We could see the writing on the wall and we decided to sell.  We did make a profit on the sale because the project was still popular, and I guess still is.  It would be great if the management actually did crack down--there and at several other projects I can think of.

Tenants at PKCP are a different type of foreigner, well dressed and better behaved 

 

I've owed PKCP condo since new, never had anyone fall from height.
