In a shocking incident of targeted violence, a police officer was fatally shot by assailants who pursued him into a mosque in Pattani province. The officer, Police Sub-Lieutenant Adisak Buraheng, 54, was attacked shortly after finishing evening prayers on October 25, as he attempted to return home on his motorbike.

The incident occurred near the Nurun Hidayah Mosque in Moo 2, Khlong Maning sub-district, Pattani city. Pattani City Police Chief Police Colonel Jeffrey Sailamangul received the alert and promptly reported to Pattani Provincial Police Commander Major General Santat Chuaphuttan. A police unit secured the scene upon arrival.

At the entrance of the mosque, authorities discovered Sub- Lieutenant Adisak's black Honda Forza 350 motorbike overturned, with his blood scattered throughout the mosque's interior. His body was later transported to Pattani Hospital for examination. Preliminary investigations revealed that he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso. Police recovered seven 9mm shell casings from both the road and inside the mosque.

Witnesses reported that the officer, who lived just 100 metres away, had joined local residents for evening prayers. As he exited the mosque and prepared to start his motorcycle, a man  who had reportedly prayed alongside the officer, signalled to an accomplice waiting outside. The accomplice opened fire, hitting Adisak multiple times and causing him to fall from his motorbike. Severely wounded, he attempted to escape into the mosque but was pursued and fatally shot in the head by the gunman.

The attackers then fled on a motorcycle. Police are actively investigating the motive and tracking down the suspects.

@newbee2022

I can't see why you are being hostile, there was no hostility towards you.

If you don't like someone's comment don't reply to it. Simple as that.

No need to get nasty, angry face and all.

Try to improve your behaviour,maybe seek some professional help for your anger management.

You must try to ignore things that you dislike.

To attack another member for having a different opinion is unacceptable.

Keep scrolling, don't take it personally.

If you struggle with anger management there are organisations that can help you.

Apparently you are an  experienced member of one of these mentioned organisations.

Btw, AN is not a forum for racism. So it's better for you to be quiet and not show your strange opinions.

I'm hoping to enlighten you, trying to make you a better person but now you are being hostile towards me.

No wonder we have wars with people in the world like you.

Nothing to do with race. So get your story straight. It is about religion and culture, which has proven to be the most intolerant and prone to violence from all the other religions and cultures....
