A bus from Chiang Mai heading to Nakhon Phanom veered off the road on Nittayo Road (Sakon Nakhon-Nakhon Phanom) near the Boonthaphan Farm area in Ban Nong Yasaai, Mueang District, 28 kilometres from its final destination. The crash occurred around noon on October 29.

The double decker bus, which was only carrying six passengers and had two bus crew onboard, had fully left the road, with both the upper and lower front windows smashed as it crashed through road side hedges. The bus had come to rest buried half way up its wheels, in a very muddy road side drainage ditch.

Emergency responders from Kuruku and Wang Ta Mua Subdistrict rescue teams arrived quickly at the scene. Three injured individuals, all passengers, were given first aid at the scene and transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment The remaining three passengers were safely transferred to the Nakhon Phanom bus terminal, in another vehicle. The bus crew were not injured in the crash.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.

NOT Brake Failure AGAIN ????

Took the scenic route.

Will tachographs and drivers hours regulations/record books ever be introduced in Thailand?

Of course that would take enforcement so probably not going to happen.

Can't blame the darkness, let him pay for the reparation of the bus, that should teach him not to napping while working.
