I am however surprised that anyone following Badenoch’s progress to head of the Tories is not aware of her well publicized run in with the Speaker.

 

I’m sure she has more where that came from.

She’s the choice I would have made for Tory leader, I’m delighted to see her appointed and look forward to her ‘performance’.

Give me some words to search for on Youtube and I will look for the video and post it here myself , just to make sure that we are both on the same page .

   I havent been following her progress and this is the first that I've heard about her , never knew she existed before this thread

She was severely criticized by the Speaker and She apologized and said that she was very sorry .

Indeed; and I personally think she will prove a more than awkward adversary to Two-Tier at PMQs … Interesting that even the left of left Guardian realises that she reads public opinion far better than Starmer regarding women’s rights, as highlighted by this quote from the link you provided.

Correct but in my opinion she will reverse away from culture war stuff which doesn't have all that much resonance with the voting public outside the politically engaged.

 

My feeling is that she will concentrate on the economy and Labour's effort to crush initiative, play class warfare, increase taxation and enhance the role of the state.If Labour in its first term manages to improve public services so that voters actually notice then they will be able to marginalize Badenoch and the Tories once and for all.They will however also need to reform the NHS to bring it in line with European models through private sector/insurance based funding.The fools who claim "our NHS" is the envy of the world are liars.It is not.

She has form as a minister in a disgraced government mired in sleaze and cronyism. So its fair that the electorate call her out.

As for Starmer, it would be unfair to begin calling him out until say, 3 years in power. He's doing the groundwork now to turn the country around after the Tory's disastrous 14 years of raping the country.

Her name is actually Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke Badenoch

Her parents are Nigerian, not British, and were not born in the UK

Although born in the UK herself, she spent her childhood and teenage years living in Nigeria.

She is quoted as saying that she is to all intents and purposes a first-generation immigrant

 

We are a strange nation, which see no conflicts of interest when appointing those with foreign parents to important political positions (think Sunak as well...)
