You should find out yourself and not bother asking me

You’re not a good representative of the party of love for all, acceptance, compassion, open minded and live and let live.

Letting ripped memes do your thinking again.

It's a meme. People post them to make a point. You are the one who can't do thinking.

According to Wikipedia both Thatcher and Churchill were not ‘conservatives’ but both were ‘ideologically adherent to economic liberalism’.

To me they were pragmatic, results oriented leaders who were not impeded in their quest for results by prejudice, sectarianism or fanaticism. And this is what in essence conservatism is.

I live fanaticism to Marxists and Islamists.

Fooled me.

The quote is still valid.

Lots of claims there of who holds what opinions but oddly no sources to back your claims.

If you are not aware of the debate in the Labour Party on the subject of Badenoch, it's not really for me to educate you.Nevertheless as a courtesy to other members - not committed to lazy group-think - herewith an article (before Badenoch's victory) from the left leaning Guardian which gives a flavour of the discussion.

Could you post a link up to it ?

I don’t post videos, plenty of links online if you want one.

I am however surprised that anyone following Badenoch’s progress to head of the Tories is not aware of her well publicized run in with the Speaker.

I’m sure she has more where that came from.

She’s the choice I would have made for Tory leader, I’m delighted to see her appointed and look forward to her ‘performance’.

Why don't you post videos ?

Give me some words to search for on Youtube and I will look for the video and post it here myself , just to make sure that we are both on the same page .

I havent been following her progress and this is the first that I've heard about her , never knew she existed before this thread

   This video ?

She was severely criticized by the Speaker and She apologized and said that she was very sorry .

That IS accepting criticism , she acknowledged that she was wrong and apologised

Indeed; and I personally think she will prove a more than awkward adversary to Two-Tier at PMQs … Interesting that even the left of left Guardian realises that she reads public opinion far better than Starmer regarding women’s rights, as highlighted by this quote from the link you provided.

“But on the fraught issue of sex and gender, her position is not, in the main, out of step with the public and she may be able to embarrass Starmer, who has in the past shown bewildering levels of prevarication on whether biological sex matters when it comes to single-sex services, sports and spaces”

Correct but in my opinion she will reverse away from culture war stuff which doesn't have all that much resonance with the voting public outside the politically engaged.

My feeling is that she will concentrate on the economy and Labour's effort to crush initiative, play class warfare, increase taxation and enhance the role of the state. If Labour in its first term manages to improve public services so that voters actually notice then they will be able to marginalize Badenoch and the Tories once and for all. They will however also need to reform the NHS to bring it in line with European models through private sector/insurance based funding. The fools who claim "our NHS" is the envy of the world are liars. It is not.

Her inability to accept criticism is a weakness, it’s now going to be on full display.

You have made that claims numerous times that she cannot accept criticism .

You also take great pride that you admit when you are wrong about something and hold your hands up and admit that that you were wrong and that you are an exemplary person because you admit when you are wrong .

You claimed that she cannot accept criticism

I posted a video of her accepting criticism and admitting that she was wrong .

Now, are you going to admit that you were wrong ?

Will you accept that you were wrong and retract your allegation about Kemi ?

You posted the very video of her getting ripped by the speaker for trying to invent excuses to avoid the criticism she was facing.

Only when she was completely humiliated did she make a half assed back down.

There will undoubtedly be more of this to come in the future.

I’ll say it again.

I’m delighted she’s been chosen as leader of what’s left of the Tories, she’s a gift to Labour and the Lib Dems.

This poster doesn't need to. Doesn't watch videos other people post either.

The Guardian tells them what to think about every issue. Thus, watching videos that reveal the truth can cause them cognitive dissonance.

I’ve explained many times why I don’t post videos, least of all this is a discussion forum.

There’s a  clue in the name.

She got ripped new one.

Her ‘apology’ was the stuff of much laughter.

There’s undoubtedly more to come.

Exactly.

Personally I think Kemi is a good choice and I am very happy to have her as leader of the opposition. Her gender/colour is irrelevant to me, although I do see the irony that it's the "progressive" Labour party that claim to be obsessed with indentity, DEI and equality yet it's the Conservatives who frequently have female and non-white leaders.

However, we all know that the left are exactly what they accuse others of being.

I hope Kemi tears Starmer a new one at PMQ's.

"Her gender/colour is irrelevant to me"............5555

To remind everyone, (in case it hasn't yet been mentioned):

Her name is actually Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke Badenoch

Her parents are Nigerian, not British, and were not born in the UK

Although born in the UK herself, she spent her childhood and teenage years living in Nigeria.

She is quoted as saying that she is to all intents and purposes a first-generation immigrant

We are a strange nation, which see no conflicts of interest when appointing those with foreign parents to important political positions (think Sunak as well...)
