Gulf of America.
the term -- though not inclusive -- is whipping boy. a whipping post is what you tie people to before you whip them. Agree with the zero <deleted> given take though -

New McDonald's
Of course I do. But most people living in the USA would see it as a praying figure and lawsuits would be filed to stop it. -

EV Charging Stations (CS)
We predominately use these when O&A (out & about), EV Pluz & PEA ... EV Station Pluz, most at PTT Parks, so very convenient, nice toilets, usual a food court & vendor, along with 7-11 and sometimes a KFC. ... PEA, usually at Banchak petrol stations. Also clean toilets, though most stations are in the caliber of PTT Parks, but slowly changing with new additions. All have a coffee shop, which is OK. ... Elexa, have used, and quite nice, as it was connected with a very nice restaurant/coffee shop. Fast charge. ... EA Anywhere, lots of charging station, and you'll find at malls also. Have not used yet, only tested to make sure we know how. DO NOT register for eVolt, as very few are fast chargers, and when we did, only pay options was debit from their app, which we put 1000 baht on, and have yet to use any of it 🤬 Apps for those vendors are user friendly, and provide info, map, if available or not, and some, like EV Station Pluz, can reserve a time slot before arriving. We also have MG, but restricted to owners of, or having their access card. Use them ofter, when EV Pluz or PEA isn't available. All quite easy to use, just do a tester, with each, before going out on the road. Always know where you next CS is located, in case you pull in, and the CS you are at, is inop. Only happened once to us, in over 2 yrs, and next one was 12 kms up the road. -

Trump/Obama chat at the Carter funeral
Something true in that. The reality is that these 5 guys are members of a rather exclusive club. Plus Trump can be genuinely funny and charming, according to most people who meet him. Bet he might have said, "hey Barack, bet you're happy you can finally pull your hand out of Joe's azz..." -

Tourists Detained After Vaping Mid-Air on Nok Air Flight
Because disregarding the safety demonstration is what 95% of the passengers do. Not wearing your seatbelt during take-off and landing is easy as the cabin crew is sitting in their jumpseat at that time and cannot see it. As long as you are wearing it while they are walking through the cabin for their safety checks, unless some other passenger rats them out or confronts them... How stupid it is, though - making yourself a potential projectile to gravely harm others and yourself is beyond stupid... -

Trump Criticizes Gov. Newsom’s Wildfire Management Amid Devastating California Fires
That's what happens when you have a bunch of Liberals running a state, who care more about Pronouns than the welfare of the citizens. No wonder so many are leaving. -

Revenue Department boss calls on tax residents in Thailand to file 2024 returns by March 31
I tend to agree with you Jim, although I concede this is only an opinion of mine with no Thailand taxation basis but rather based on Canadian taxation ,which frankly, probably has no relevance to how Thailand does such (other than my making a minor point). Best I recall (although its been decades since I have done such) in Canada, for one's tax return, at the end of the taxation year, one can note the market (close of business last business day in the calendar/tax year) value of an equity, and declare that value in calculating a profit, and pay tax accordingly on that declared profit - even thou the equities were NEVER liquidated. One then carries forward (for subsequent taxation years) that declared value of the equity for assessing future profits. Hence it leads me to speculate (and wonder) if Thailand will accept a declared equity value of end-Dec-2023 for any equities, without the need to liquidate the equities to cash for the purpose of meeting paw.161/162 tax exemption criteria. I don't know the answer. It may be no. But I think it a viable question for many to ask as it could affect their taxation assessment.
