My choices in home country at the age I got married were solo mothers or grannies.

I chose to marry a Thai 20 years younger than myself that I liked to see when I woke up in the morning, as not a wrinkly old bag with stretch marks and brats that annoyed me.

The only mistake I made was marrying the wrong 20 years younger than myself Thai woman.

Lucky me married the right 20 years younger than myself Thai woman.

You see a lot of old guys talking about careful planning and selection, but in the end the outcome of our lives is mainly down to luck!

I've always been unlucky with women, for as long as I can remember.

I should have stuck with prossies. Most were nicer than non prossies and gave happy endings, which is way better than both of my long relationships.

"Pooying bar" for example is one of the names Thais have for them.

Pooying just means woman.

No Thai man would ever do this .............

An old man in the village lost his wife, and now 1 year later, he captured the lady who sell vegetables at the marked and paid 15000 in sin sod for her. He lives in a dump, and she really did not need him, but still, there you go, no matter what we think, sin sod is a thai tradition, and not only for stupid foreigners and their young brides. Myself have not paid one bath in sin sod, her parents is way much smarter than that.

You are confusing Thais with Westerners

No, you obviously are naive and can not speak Thai.

Another occasion when you are wrong with your assumptions.

Yes, the OP...........:coffee1:

I went to a friend of a friend’s wedding on Friday night in Pattaya.

Nearly everyone attending was a farang with a thai wife or girlfriend. A few kids.

Everyone was reasonably well behaved until the booze started flowing when things started getting messy and the women’s true colors started showing up.

It was fairly obvious that nearly every one of them was a former bar girl, most were tattooed, they got sleazier and louder as the night wore on both verbally and physically.

It was a fun night.

I was thinking about half of them were not showing much or any respect to their husbands. It appeared the more drunk some of them got the less they liked their husbands and were not even pretending to like them.
Almost like they were trying to start trouble with their husbands/boyfriends which put me on edge a bit. Very touchy feely.

They seem to have chosen a life where they have to spend most of their time with men they don’t really like. An underlying tension that comes out when they are drunk?

Why is it that so many prostitutes in Thailand marry their customers? There are prostitutes in probably every country in the world, but I have never seen this before, it seems a uniquely Thai phenomenon. There must be thousands of them.

Why is it so different in Thailand?

ps. The dowry was 200,000 and some gold. The wife was a stunner. An oldie, but a goodie. Nice big set of bolt-ons.

Never ever marry somebody that has had more sleeping partners than you, full stop.

Marriage really should be reserved for virgins.

Anything else is you are just having your turn.

Crikey, these days 16 year olds have had more sleeping partners than some here.

No. It just seemed you were saying there were more in Thai than most languages.

Does that apply to both sexes then?

I can't believe you wrote that, but then again, this is one of your baiting threads, eh.............🤪

The force of the small head is strong.

As Robin Williams once said, "God gave man a penis and a brain but only enough blood to run one at a time." So true!

Can take the girl out of the bar but not the bar out of the girl. Obvious really.

Not really; when I retired to Thailand, I had no intention of finding a new 'love'. I like to remain free and to wander as I please. If I wanted to find a relationship, a bar is not the place I'd go to, and I have been to many, lol.

No, the man should rack up at least 30 before marriage

Then he will know how to satisfy his virgin bride.

It is what I believe.
Millions of others agree with me.
Probably a strange concept for someone who married a single mother.

Well, yes, a few times, moved on when things were not, weeeell, perfect...😉

Those of us that have been married, know that every time was great, but when the honeymoon period is over, and the years rack up, things can go a bit pear shaped.

When you actually make the plunge, get away from the bar stools, you may find out......😉
