This is the opinion of a deluded mind. It is the totalitarianism of the Left with it's identity politics that lost it the election.

Yes it's an opinion piece, which one can agree or disagree. Personally I concur with the author's concerns. However, OP is not regards election, but the Cabinet appointees proposed by trump, many of whom have right of centre authoritarian leanings. Likely some will not pass scrutiny

NYTimes headline today:

Trump’s Cabinet Picks, Panned in Washington, Thrill Many of His Voters

Where Donald Trump’s critics see underqualified nominees with questionable judgment, his voters described them as mavericks recruited to shake up Washington.

Seems that DJT's toughest critics on cabinet picks right now are Republican Senators.

Push come to shove the republican senators will have no backbone as usual. Maybe Gaetz and one other will be stopped but that's it.

Maybe. But for all the talk of 'recess appointments' and 'executive orders' these are the people he needs to pass any legislation.

Would you be criticizing democratic senators for not having the backbone to defy democratic oligarchs and deny Mz. Harris' underqualifed token woke DEI nominees?

I highly doubt that.

Fortunately, democracy won, and we shall be unburdened by what has not been.

Totalitarianism seeks dominion over the individual to the point where individuality is erased. That’s what happened to the Republican Party. Individuals have looked the same, talked the same, acted the same and thought the same for a long time. (The men sometimes literally dress the same as Donald Trump, with a blue suit, a long red tie.) After the election, however, Republican behavior has finally been totalized.

Totalitarianism also seeks to dominate the individual’s mind by going to war against facts, reason, science and any useful meaning of the word “proof.” In normal times, pre-Trump, we could expect in the Senate a spirited debate over a president-elect’s cabinet nominations, beginning with whether they’re qualified. Such debate is going to be impossible now, because “being qualified” is a meaningless term.

You seem disappointed being deep in one of the many spurs of the left’s delusional tangents. All these venting meltdown opinions spewing out of the left is quite the clown show.

Put yourself in their shoes. How would you feel if your worldview was flat out rejected on every level.

Must be difficult coping with how dead wrong you were when you were so adamant about being right. To the point of looking like a bully trying to force feed people to believe what you do.

Exactly what, in your opinion, is incorrect with the OP article. Occurs to me many of the prospective appointees are sycophants without relevant experience, just following MAGA world conspiracy BS - just as trump promised he would do to please his followers.

Which of the cabinet picks do you think is unqualified, and why?

Which of the Cabinet picks do you approve of?

Anyone not a Trump-hating leftist or RINO would be attacked by the left.

Keep in mind, the left thinks Eric Holder and Merrick Garland were both great AGs, so their opinion is worthless.

Trump has a pretty limited number of people to choose from. Everyone that tries to help him knows they will be attacked mercilessly in the press, and when the left regains control, they likely will be prosecuted for some made up nonsense.

I have much empathy for my leftist friends. As for the shoes, they didn’t fit and got thrown out.

Just stating facts as I see them. Sometimes the truth is a cold reality, nothing bully about it.

I have absolutely no emotions whatsoever invested in politics. But anyone jammed up in the left that is suffering from rejection on an emotional level should then reevaluate their world view and maybe even seek therapy.

So, you have no idea, all you can do is post a link to someone else's fact less opinion.

That's what I thought.

So are you going to factually defend your approval or simply rest with an attack ?

Why is it that MAGA sycophants aggessively present so insecurely when in the face of Trumps's apparent success should be sitting back smug ?

I am reminded of Bible Bashers who are determined to convince that non believer in fear of being found to be duped by a grifting sneaky Pastor !

My opinion is anything that the left gets upset about with Trump is a good sign that he’s doing what is right.
The problem with the left is that when they attain a little power they lose self control and composure and spiral out of control and try to gobble up the entire cake and get under the delusion that everyone is on board. Take one example of many, DEI shoved down everyone’s throat and pushing it on grade school kids, rational people are sick of it.
The design of these appointees is to put a stop of the incisive psychopathy nonsense that exists in the government that was implemented by Obama. The more the left flips out and goes berserk the more it reinforces that these are good choices, the voters have a few axes to grind and Trump is getting ready to sling them, so get used to it. So let’s hope the left is in full disagreement with every single choice.

My post wasn't clear I think. Everything I mentioned was in regards to people on the left. Not you. My bad.

We’ll have to wait and see what transpires. If Thune doesn’t hold the line, then Trump could send Vance to lead the senate.
