Who here is going to Rolling Loud Thailand this coming weekend at Legend Siam? Some massive names such as Akon, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Rocky, French Montana, Lil Wayne, Quavo will be there. I won't be going as I'm not a fan of being in a massive crowd of concert goers but I'll definitely hit up 808 for the afterparty with Tyga and Wiz Khalifa.

Wondering how many Thai people will be going there as tickets are expensive so it's probably going to be full of foreigners and rich Thais there only.

Anyone know for how many years Rolling Loud has been going on in Thailand already? I know they had one last year but what about the years before?

2023 was the first year....And unfortunately not the last year....

I personally would rather listen to car alarms blaring all night than listen to that rap rubbish......The music is trash in every sense of the word.....

If a single expat went I would be very surprised....Its mostly for Thai teens who dont know any better....Or are to stoned to care....

It's not rap, it's hip hop. Completely different. To quote from their website it's "The Biggest Hip Hop Festival in Asia"

I'm sure that the under 50's crowd of foreigners are interested in hip hop.

Living in Pattaya, hip hop is played everywhere. You walk past a beer bar, it's played. You go into a nightclub, it's played. You go into an Agogo, it's played. You walk past one of those cocktail cars, it's played. If someone doesn't want to hear hip hop, they shouldn't be living in Pattaya.

Hey just look how popular this subject is on this forum...In the last 16 hours.....There have been ZERO posts, until mine..

Could the issue be that the majority of forum members are old fuddy duddies over the age of 70?

Sir you are 100% correct.....Hip Hop/ Rap is played every where in Pattaya...Does this make it OK?...... Nope......If cancer spreads all though the body does this make it OK?.....Nope.....

The Hip Hop, Rap nightmare started about 1983-84....And should have died many years ago.....But like a zombie it just keeps on living...

If you don't like hip hop or rap, Pattaya is not for you. Somewhere like Issan where it's quiet and boring as hell would be more suitable.

Thai music is the best, luktung, morlam, lukrung, phua cheewit, kantrum, ramwong, lare etc. Why would anyone want to listen to this imported American ghetto nonsense in Thailand? It's like coming here and eating western muck

Nowhere is more boring than Pattaya, a cultural desert, there is one Issan cafe left though.

Having recently spent a long weekend in Issan staying close to a temple, being woken at 4am, then subjected to a very loud and out of tune evening of "music"; from same temple; that didn't end till 2am, I beg to differ.
