Most affordable place to get Lipoma removed in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

I'm from North America and got a vacation coming up for Bangkok and am interested in a minor surgical removal of one single, small-medium sized Lipoma on my arm. I emailed a couple of hospitals and provided them my sonogram report and so far Bumrungrad Hospital quoted 30-35k baht, which is ridiculously more expensive than where I live - that's an instant rejection.

Next, I reached out to Sukumvit Hospital and they can't give me a quote until I do an in-person consult with the doctor for a small fee so I went ahead and scheduled the appointment in the coming weeks. Does anyone have insight if this place will be cheaper? My budget is $10-15k baht at most.

I also reach out to Camillian Hospital and Bangkok Christian Hospital and waiting for a response. I'm open to any suggestions that fits my budget and it doesn't even have to take place at a hospital, it could also be at a private clinic but a hospital is preferred. I also highly prefer to have the operation in Bangkok but Ao Nang or Krabi in general also works for me. Chiang Mai could also be possible but not ideal.

Thanks!

I have 2 small ones on my face. interested to know if a clinic is ok for this procedure.

No place can give you an estimate without examination since depending on size, depth and location might require  general anesthetic or local; might need just general surgeon or plastic surgeon. (Or if really small and superficial, sometimes dermatologist).  And these differences  have significant cost implications.

The least expensive place would be a government hospital but long waits and language barriers, not very oractical for someone just visiting.

Among private hosoitals, Camellian and Bangkok Christian would be good bets.

Probably not. Are you sure they are lipomas?

Yes, a doc at medpark told me. I'm just thinking something like one of those beauty clinics would be cheaper.
