How do you 'bang' any form of life in Bangkok if you are living in Cambodia ?

Thats a good question. Let me think about it.

OK, so there is this thing called a road. I pay someone a pittance, and in a few hours I end up in Bangkok after a lovely drive though marijuana fields and Industrial estates, and there it is.....the source of hardbodies.

There is this thing they call airplanes too..$65 takes me to the fount of perversity.

And then I come back to Cambodia for the spiritual cleansing.

Easy peasy: Im not a sex tourist tho. Im a sex commuter.

Well, I have lived in Spain, Italy, Malta, Geneva in Europe and many countries in Asia, a couple i Africa and while I enjoyed all of them, each has their own problems.  As an American I still love the USA and the freedoms it stands for and guarantees for other countries too.  I don't go around and complain about foreigners and really fail to understand why they bash Americans unless it is jealousy or envy.  There is no so-called "garden of Eden" or perfection anywhere.  Get over it and yourself if you can't understand that please.

I think you posted on the wrong topic. There is another one about American Exceptionalism. That's where you should be talking about American bashing. This one is about winning the game of life.

Well Im smart enough to know that getting from my house in Siem Reap to Billboard takes 6 hours traveling via air, and 8 via road. Im smart enough to make regular trips without asking a million questions.

How about you? Ever been to Thailand? Obviously not if you dont know how easy it is to go between the two countries.

Income tax is probably the only reason for renouncing citizenship, and now it will be interesting to watch what will happen once Thailand introduced WWIT...

Generally US retiree in Thailand enjoy much better standards of living than those from UK, AUS and others on measly pensions and no health cover.

That's factual too..

And I am not a US national.

What is WWIT. I wish some posters would stop this nonsense and remember they are on a forum and not texting on their smartphone.

Have You Won the Game of Life?

Living the dream. I'm cashed up, ready to spend.

My many Bitcoin's I purchased in 2015 keep going up in value, the kg's of gold I bought at 17k baht and are stored in my Kasikorn bank, safety box keeps going up in value.

I'm in my 50's, arrived Thailand in my 30's, wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Been working offshore drilling rigs, 28 day rotation, just enough time here and away.

I've got kids, now teenagers who I spend most of my days enjoying.
Got rid of the mother, now have a gf in her 20's.

I love these threads, it annoys so many here that I'm doing so well while their stuck in their miserable lives, trolling the internet, attacking people on their warrior keyboards.

Is there a technical, linguistic term to describe "bragging in the form of a question"?

Seems to occur a lot on this forum.

In general bragging is elicited by almost any topic, even those where you would think it was not possible.

If you doubt that to be true just look at a topic about breakfast for example, posters find ways to brag no matter the topic.

Who exactly gives a toss who you are, what you have or what you are doing? I don't mean that in a derogatory way. I'm just trying to point out that I don't think anyone on this forum really cares about anyone else or what they're doing. This is only a place for random and anonymous discourse.

First visited Thailand in 1962, aged 21. After work postings in West Africa and the Middle EastI I lived and worked in Bangkok during the 1980s, later being transferred to Taiwan. Retired to Thailand with my Thai wife in 1993, and have lived here ever since. with occasional trips to the USA and Europe. Have a nice day.

You'd be surprised the nasty comments, the hate I receive.

You do know that you can keep scrolling.

BTW, I see lots of comments here regarding people's behaviour, success and similar.

I also have to admit that I often make posts that are the equivalent of teasing dumb animals.

It's wrong but sometimes I can't help myself.

I picture of you as a real life version of Ron Jeremy back in the eighties. Do you look a lot like him too in real life? Are your kids proud of you?

Well picture the Hedgehog without body hair and with a complexion like Yuki Onna, and since this is a family place, I wont talk about that which you have for so long admired and worshipped through a splattered screen, but yes, it is identical and I was frequently confused with him by ladies.

My childs favorite line during our daily conversations is "Whats wrong with you?". Usually that comes after I make her admit  the error of all of those things that  Masters Degree bearing Eurotrash admiring leftist well paid executive brats spout.

Oi, wyd?

Drinking coffee, hbu?

Going to work.

Oh. Trump won.

Whats wrong with you, that was last month.

I know, dont you hate it when I bring it up? Trump won.

OMFG, what is wrong with you?

BTW if you measure your success in life by your kids, I beat you all.

Its boring. We cant all be winners

I agree.

After living in Thailand most of my adult life, it does get boring.

That said, things in the West are pretty dire (where I come from) and I am glad I raised my kid here.

I reckon I'm under a Spell, the lucky in life spell.

I'm definitely a winner in life, my life is so good.

I've travelled the world, been to over 40 countries, work, training etc. Thai chicks are the most beautiful.

Check out this random FB photo just popped UP on my screen.

Omg, how beautiful are these girls......seriously I'm in Heaven, thank you God. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

They look similar to my gf, nothing FAKE, no ugly hideous tattoos exposed, just one here and there.

God these girls are just gorgeous. 🥰

To the true champions of life, those 75 and older, living the dream in Thailand, and still kicking it like you’re 45: do you look in the mirror and think, Yep, I’ve won the game of life? Or maybe you don’t think it, but deep down you suspect maybe it’s true because, well, you’ve lived a long life already and obviously things could have always turned out much more pear shaped.

So you made it this far, happily and hopefully healthily, and you’ve done it in Thailand, no less. That’s seemingly not just winning; that’s more like winning with a cherry on top, isn’t it? Or maybe it’s not for you? But if it is, then what’s the secret sauce to making it work? Is it the spicy som tam with runny fermented fish? The tropical weather? The ridiculously good/bad beer? Or is it simply the notion of knowing you’ll never have to shovel snow again?

There’s got to be some wisdom to be gotten from it. What choices do you think got you to this golden stage of life, where everything feels comfortably on track? And for the rest of us still in our 50s or 60s, what advice would you give to help us get to where you are now?

It’s probably not luck. Presumably you’ve made some good or great calls along the way. Was moving to Thailand one of them? Did it change your life for the better—happiness, health, wealth, romance or maybe all four? Then is it the people, the culture, the laid-back vibe, or maybe the healthcare that helps you sleep better at night? Or is life in Thailand something completely different for you than any of the above?
